Curious if anyone knows if there was ever an aftermarket leather battery door (Not flip cover) created for the z30 like the one that was made for the z10?

I thought the same thing, but there would be no way to get it cut just right where the flip meets the battery door. Its a shame someone hasn't made one yet.

Noreve.comm and they can take the leather flip case and not put the flip on it. I contacted them and they said use this code when ordering. "Make a 22232TE1/f". Seen with Cynthia"

I just have to smooth out the edges a bit. It's heavier than the original cover though. And that glue is on there pretty damn good...lol....ur right, I'm surprised no one has come up with it as of yet. I contacted the company in China that dies the one for the z10 and they said they don't make it.

Yeah, I have a tool that smoothes edges out. I don't know where ur from, but it's a dremel..it's a multi use tool for cutting, edging, etc....let's see what I can do today.

Ah, ok...yeah, so u know what it is. hopefully I can smooth out the edges. It's not that bad right now if I use it that way....and I'm not much of a handyman, so I'll see what I can do. I may just wind up leaving it as is......

I sure like how it looks. You might find a leather shop and ask them what you can use to cut it perfect and set up a little side business and I am sure you could sell many

OK, used the dremel to smooth it out a bit more. Didn't want to over do it and scuff the cover itself. This is the final look. It's not perfect, but it gives it a classy look and of course an original look since these covers aren't made for the z30. I like it as well because it adds more protection to the camera lens. It's a bit more heavy but it feels good.

I was thinking about starting a business with you, but on second thought.....lol.....i think it's good for whomever customizes it...but nothing we could sell...lol...what do you think??

I like the fact that it protects the camera more as well. It is a bit heavier than the regular battery cover, don't you think? But I think it is still sleek, like the 9700 and 9000.
