Could be that the initial price was an error, or maybe they just wanted to gouge a bit more money out of day-one customers. Considering that it's only been on sale since yesterday, it's far too early for price drops from low demand, even if sales are terrible.

Hell thanks Rogers and Bell, first Rogers thank you for only selling this phone via reservation.
Second thank you Bell for over pricing the phone compared to your competition. With this in mind we have introduced the Z30 for $129 on contact and $600 unlocked. It is our plan to sell as many phones as we can to Rogers customers and Bell customers, please feel free to buy more than one.

And to you American customers with Canadian connections come on down the (PRICE IS RIGHT)

    Ps overnight shipping available!!!!!!!!!!

It'll be locked I believe. But considering the price of unlocking a phone, it still ends up cheaper than its prior price of $650.

If you are wanting to order the phone for the USA...you should keep in mind the model. most of the Canadian phones LTE bands will not work on US LTE bands. I saw somewhere the 100-1 version would work on ATT.

Rogers price matches cell phones. Could have saved unlock fee.

When Rogers said they would not carry the z30 many customers threatened to change carriers. Maybe Telus wants to give customers more reason to switch to Telus. A 50$ price cut is nothing compared to gaining a long term customer.

They did it cause they are smart. Someone high up has probably noticed the Rogers fumble and see people on Crackberry shopping for an off contract phone. Their aggressive pricing means anyone looking for the Z30 off contract will choose them.

    Smart move in their part

Probably to shut up all the whiners including myself on the $700 price tag and how BlackBerry needs to lower the price to gain more potential customers. I guess they are listening...Now that it is priced for $600, $100 lower from a projected pricing, please let the shopping spree begin.
