I bought mine at Bell.

I was OK with the $50 difference. But then telus dropped another $50 to $600

So I called Bell and they gave me a $50 bill credit.

That makes it a little more fair.

And I don't have to return mine and then buy it and unlock it

Seen a Z30 demo table at Bell store in the Cloverdale mall Etobicoke. Today it's about time...some folks standing around watching the guy demo it was cool to see people's faces as to how fast and what it can do. I myself am waiting for Telus shipment from Alberta can't wait just wish cell phone shops had cases to protect this new baby would really want a rubber style case for better grip and protection.

From what one store told me since they aren't a corporate store, they'll make more money on a contract sale than an off-contract sale so they do it as a means to pressure you into signing something if you want it so bad. I don't know how well franchises do with Telus so maybe they need every buck they can but the thing is, they do the same as a corporate store. Which I guess than means the regular employee wants to maximize their commission too.

So, I guess just call it greed/sales... and stupidity since its not like Telus wont ship them more stock if they sell more off contract.

I bought from CB the otter box commuter case and the leather flip case and both are good, I really like the commuter it adds a lot of protection. I'm thinking of picking up the defender for times that I'm out in the field (military)

Telus LTE will work on USA T-Mobile LTE.

Exactly, it clearly lists AWS band IV (1700MHz) under both 4G and LTE, 2100MHz under 4G (HSPA+) and both 850MHz/1900MHz for baseline, this should fly on TMO US, even after they turn 1700MHz into their exclusive LTE frequency (end of the year/early next year.)

Just got my Z30 mins. ago it came came express Canada post from Telus. In Alberta what service I'm on Rogers and they never even bothered to advise date or cost Telus got my $600.00 but this will have to be unlocked. just waiting for the unlock code now. but what a sweet device the sound is amazing as other people have mentioned and super fast too.

Actually that's their 4G (non-LTE, HSPA+), traditionally AWS 1700/2100 but since they got a bunch of spectrum from AT&T and various auctions they are migrating it to 1900MHz (this is why they can service older iPhones now, at least up to 21Mb/s via HSPA), making it into their exclusive LTE frequencies.

Did anyone buying outright trade in a phone? At my home town store, I asked, got told my old Z (spare) could be worth up to $145 on the trade in/up, if everything was in good condition. Meaning I could have got the Big Z for $485 ALL IN.

There is only one word needed to tell you why I DIDN'T get it for that price... CHILDREN.
I couldn't find it.... ANYWHERE. Once again, awesome.

Just got mine, decided to transfer some music from my Q10 via NFC and wow!! So fast! It uses the wifi direct. 5 songs in 10 seconds. So happy with this

I'm just going to need to get used to the size. This sucker is big.

Other than that, this Z30 is amazing! When I play Simpsons Tapped Out it is so smooth. On the Z10 the frame rate would drop.

Okay, I have a question for everybody in the USA/Canada: Is $600 considered a lot?

In South Africa, this phone will most likely go on sale, like the Z10 did, at R8,500 ($850 US).

The Galaxy S4 is still over R9,000...that is INSANE!

I'm contemplating ordering it abroad and having the damn thing shipped here...or maybe grab one on my trip to London next year.

I'm just curious as to how much these things cost in other places because I always see people complain about $600 for the Z30 but to me, that seems VERY cheap!
