Good luck to you. Just ran around hoping to buy in person versus online, and struck out @ the 4 Telus stores in downtown Calgary.

1.) "We're not allowed to sell off term"

2.) "Sure, but it will be full price versus box price. So $779. Or you can buy 3 months service on the cheapest plan for less than that"

3.) "Ohhh, I thought we had stock, but we don't" (after explaining I have no interest in switching carriers, lol)

4.) "Sorry - we only received 1, and priority is for Telus customers"

Will try some stores that carry Telus products, that aren't Telus stores. If no luck, I'll buy online tonight. It's probably easier to buy drugs in broad daylight than buy a device from a different carrier. They want your $ for services, not hardware... plain and simple.

Tried 3 Telus stores, no go. They should have an off contract price so they can make money. I'd pay an extra 50 or so

They do have off-contract pricing listed "off-term", but are only wanting to sell services.

Have a friend on Telus go in to buy it for you, and have them say they just want a second device to use on Wifi @ home so want to buy it off-term. Should get less hassle, though no guarantees!

I have a telus account and they wouldn't sell one to me outright... Only tried two local stores. There are more but I figure I will just wait.

For the Z10 a rogers store tired not to sell me it off contract, they said I could only use my upgrade. I phoned customer service and told them I want it off contract and they told me to go back to the store in 5 mins.
I went back and got the phone lol I guess rogers called the store and told them to sell me it

Most likely not, but maybe if you try to say how your contract is coming up for renewal soon and thinking of switching to Telus but this is putting a bad taste in your month so to speak and mention BBB maybe that would help?

I'm not sure just trying to help I know I can't wait for my Z30 to show up, in mad it's taking this long lol

I bought two from my local Telus today. Spoke to them about buying it off contract, and they said that they would normally get a notice not to sell specific phones off contract for a certain time period. No such notice has gone out for the Z30. Price was $600 before taxes, same as their online store.

Well I bought my Z30 yesterday....Bell....just looked at what it would cost me to buy out my current Z10 and then do the Z30 deal. Even got $75 discount on the new Zed so the total price out of my pocket was around the same price as now Telus amount, taxes included Be creative and check out your options.

The employee told me they couldn't sell them at the first store, so I went to a store in London, at white oaks mall and they had no problem selling it. If you guys are looking go there, they have a few more in stock!
