I'm hearing that the Telus Z30 comes unlocked. Is this true?!
No it is definitely not true, you can unlock it after 90 days for $35 though

I wouldn't be so quick to say that, numerous people here are saying it has come unlocked. So either they got lucky or its factory unlocked from the beginning

Far more people with Telus Z30's are saying they came locked and they have had to unlock the device to use it on their own network...

Nope, No confirmation of shipping yet. The Z30 I bought was in the small business section and was "SIM free" I'm wondering if that means it will be unlocked? I'm with Telus so it does not really matter for me but would be nice.

It can take up to 1 week for the whole process to complete, this is from experience and I am in Ontario.

Just because numerous people say something doesn't mean it's the truth, as I said in the actual thread on this, why would a carrier sell a phone unlocked? They make their $$$ of the monthly service not the phone

What's happening is people are going to the SIM app on the phone and see the network as unlocked, it's not you have to get the code from an unlocker service or your carrier as I said in other threads this was confirmed by a Telus corporate rep, as I said.

If you see the unlock network button like in this pic the phone is locked up tighter than a ducks arse in a power dive .

It can take as little as a day for the process to complete, this is from experience and I am in British Columbia. The only handy thing about BCTELus having its HQ in Vancouver

Just purchased online Telus $600.00 no contract and free shipping just waiting for a return email as to when it will be shipped out.
I tried getting info. from Rogers with no response well I guess they just lost another sale.
Maybe it's time to change carriers too!
