It can't be the STA100-2, because the -2 does not have any 1700 MHz bands.

Here's what BlackBerry actually says about the STA100-5:

Tri-band LTE support: LTE 850, LTE 2100, LTE 2600 MHz band
    Quad-band HSPA+ support: UMTS 800/UMTS 850, AWS 1700, PCS 1900, IMT 2100 MHz band

Note that this doesn't match either Telus's or Bell's complete listings
I was taking my band info from the stickied thread in this forum (picture attached below) perhaps it's outdated?

    Telus Z30 0.00 No Contract "Live"-crackberry-image.jpg

If the STA100-5 does indeed have 2600 band LTE then both the Bell and Telus models should support rogers 2600 LTE? Why I'd this so complicated????

Lol. Yes that is outdated. I'm the OP of that thread, so I'm trying to get some information too

This has become a bit complicated because when I typed up STA100-5, I referenced an official document. And that information matches neither the Telus nor Bell -5. And if both Bell and Telus listings are correct (and complete, ) that doesn't jive at all with BB's information.

Makes sense. Well I guess I can risk it with the Telus Z30 I wasn't planning on the 2600 LTE so at this point if it works out bonus.

Ordered 1 Money saved will go to unlock code. will cancel Rogers once I received it. Plus Rogers price is still not confirmed... My guess it will be higher than $600.

Looks like some of the carriers are passing BlackBerry's assumed lowered marginal cost of producing the Z30 without high end specs to the customer for our benefit. Although there may be less carriers carrying the device like Roger's originally, I suppose it helps BlackBerry by not having to produce more than they can afford for carriers / distributers who do not have the intent to sell the end product in a particular market to meet current supply and demand. Some carriers may now also be realizing that they have to lessen the premium they put on a BlackBerry device to match current realities. Great for us either way.

Well, if all you care about is LTE (and not 3G/HSPA+) then either the Bell or Telus variant should do. But if you want LTE and HSPA+ compatibility, go with the Telus model.

Telus is p--sing me off... They cancelled my online order saying the credit card authorization didn't go through but my bank says they did approve it. Now, when I try to do it again, Telus is declining my transaction.

Now I remember why I hate Telus. I had the same type of problem getting a pre-owned Z10 for the missus a while back and it was a pain in the **** then as now.

Like I said in the other thread, the Telus STA100-5 according to their webpage listing is confirmed to work on TMO. The Bell STA100-5 does not list TMO's bands. Are they the same STA100-5s? That's the main question. But you're better off buying it from Telus.

So I have a second Z10 I no longer want... is there anyway to make use of Telus trade in program if I want to buy an off contract Z30 as a new customer? Or would I have to find an existing Telus customer to bring in the Z10 and do the trade in themselves as existing customer... or is the $600 off contract online only for Telus?
