I've had an issue when putting the Z10 with the power button downwards in my pocket. If there are other objects in the bottom of my pocket it might turn off the phone and even turn it on again seeming like it restarted on itself once you pull it out.

I found it weird when I read the article the other day, he mentioned it restarted 3 times. My Z10 I got it day one in TMOBILE USA. March 26. I has never restarted itself as of today October 13.
This very same thing happened to me. It's the only known time I've had a reboot that I did not initiate. The phone was top down in my front pocket and I had bent over to pick something up off the ground. I'm certain the power button on top had been pressed and held. I'm sure I caught the end of the countdown before it restarted. Not in denial. It happened very occasionally on my Z10 when specific circumstances happened, far from random. The Z30 is just a little too big for a front jeans pocket, at least without a case....

Had my z30 since end November last year. Not a single issue. Only issue was BlackBerry Link but that's worked itself out since last OS update.

I did a wipe after last OS upgrade. Wiped cause I had a lot of useless apps and junk in the phone. Wanted a clean start. Since the wipe and my phone being better organised and a better setup, my battery life is amazing and the phone is super fast.

I know of 4 others with a z30. Not one complaint. No restarts or random shut downs.

The reboots seem to be hardware related. I had 3 different Z10s. One of them rebooted about three times per day. The others never - they all had the exact same apps installed. My z30 rebooted twice yesterday - but it turns out that was caused by my bag pushing down on the power button :-)

You just have defective Z10. The logical thing to do is take it in for repair. You must have 1yr warranty.
Here we go. I went through three Z10s. All rebooted. No, it's not just a defective Z10. But the problem seemed very specific to Verizon phones. Just got a Z30 - hoping it won't.

I've had some regular reboots on the device (over multiple OS versions) - usually when launching an app or in the browser.

That said it's not enough to bug me, and certainly not more often then my GNex or S4 have rebooted on me.

Z30 is still the best device I've had hands down.

I know that q10's battery seems loose easily. I feel it's the main reason that causes the phone randomly re boot

Never had mine reboot unintentionally. Always put it button down in my right pocket, screen facing towards me. Though this one is an STA-100-2.

I did find that putting a case on it helps, as the volume buttons are very easy to press, and that beautiful screen is just asking to be cracked

FYI, only read the first page.

Anyways, when I first got this Z30, I used to get reboots. Very annoying. But eventually it stopped. Not sure if because I'm more conscious about it in my pocket. I also stopped carrying it in my front pocket, which I think was the issue. The top button is just flush enough that if I lean over and it pushes against my leg, it would restart.

I only notice when I pull it out of my pocket, and it?s in the middle of restarting.
