Really dont want to start another thread about this but I just chatted with at&t about the release of the z30 and they have no idea. They are really a joke!!

Came to this conclusion 3 months ago. I left my ATT Q10 for my Verizon Z30 and switched to Verizon. Better service, better coverage and $10 more per month. But the icing on the cake is the Z30. I am very happy with Verizon. If enough of us leave then maybe ATT will get their act together. As I had been a >10 year ATT customer when they called me asking to reconsider I simply TD then that their failure to provide a Z30 made the switch necessary. I have a small business with 5 phones all NOW in Verizon and all on BB10 devices. No one unhappy.

i have a feeling no other US carriers are going to get the Z30. I'm just going to buy an unlocked one for T-Mobile, when the price is right.

I was honestly thinking about leaving at&t. I am also a small business owner with a construction company. I have been with at&t for a long time. The only thing keeping me is I have been able to keep all of my lines with the unlimited data. I was considering an unlocked z30 but no Lte kills it for me. Unfortunately, its a little late. Verizon will have the next flagship blackberry by the time at&t gets the z30. At&t is a joke!

I sure as hell hope so. I'm literally waiting to pull the trigger and switch from my HTC One X. Part of me wants to just go and switch to the z10, but return it back before two weeks is up and have them reinstate my upgrade status (if that's still possible?) haha

It wouldn't be so bad of we could buy the STA100-1 (the Z30 LTE compatible with AT&T) somewhere...anywhere... I don't care of AT&T ever sells the phone but the STA100-1 is a real model that passed FCC approval so it needs to be sold by someone...

I have the option to get one through a friends upgrade with Verizon at the 2 year contract price. I'm not sure what I am waiting for. I should just pull the trigger. Does the Verizon Z30 come already unlocked?

That is the STA100-5 version of the Z30, and that is the one you want for T-Mobile.

I just got a brand new one from my BlackBerry rep with the plastic still on it and the accessories still unopened. Private message me if you are interested because I am willing to sell it cheaper than you could get it from Rogers.
I just sold it to a local friend for $480 cash.

I just sold my second STA100-5. It was even harder to do than the first one as I really thought about keeping this one and forgoing the 4G LTE on AT&T's network.

But alas I have a hope, albeit a fool's hope, that the STA100-1 will be available soon. Hopefully it won't come out 2 months after the successor of the Z30 comes out, which would be my luck.

I hate to even say this, but I noticed on the FCC website that the documents that are listed as short-term confidential changed publication dates from March 2014 to June 17th, 2014. I hope this isn't an indication of the intended release date, but It's not looking good. I really don't want to wait until June.

Maybe I'm focusing too much on the wrong point, but it seems that not making your flagship device available to 2/3 of subscribers in the largest free market economy in the world is a bad business move. What really irritates me personally about the whole Verizon exclusive, is that Verizon voice service isn't available here in Alaska. I don't even have an option to get a Z30, other than buying an unlocked device and forgoing LTE. I have been a die-hard BlackBerry user for 10 years (aside from a 3 month stint with a GS3), but this really has me wondering what path BlackBerry is choosing to follow. I admire Chen for having the courage to step on some toes to get the ship righted, but don't alienate the faithful. The die-hards are what is keeping the name out there.

Yeah Daniel they are not going to tell anyone through a post their device release schedule that they haven't released a newswire about themselves to the press. They never have and never will. My STA100-5 is working great on AT&T with LTE!!

I have the STA 100-2 unlocked that I will not know if it will do LTE until this Wednesday when we go to Dayton. Don't have it in my area so it means little to me. Use wifi almost exclusively so I'm not even looking forward to getting it here. My AT&T service is great with full bars throughout the house and with the positive experience I'm having with this unlocked phone I may not ever care what the service provider is offering in the future.

South Texas! It's flat here without many tall building so I suspected they were using either 850Mhz or 1700Mhz here and not 700Mhz that the big cities need for building penetration.

I'm happy for your LTE speed. I'm jealous.

And I know they aren't going to tell me first before everyone else, it's pressure and the more we can put on then the higher percentage it will have an effect.

I'm doing all there is to do besides waiting.

Oh my god, south Texas resident here as well. Why (thank you, really) do you have to make it THAT much easier for me to rationalize with myself to go ahead and jump on the STA100-5?

Where is a good and reliable place to purchase the -5 version, if you don't mind?
