    Contacts took a minute but are now there... Text messages however (there were alllooot of them!) are gone!!

    help anyone?

    (switch was via LINK, but with no errors.. it appeared to have been completed successfully...)

    If the SMS conversations were opened, the texts should have transferred over. At least that has been my experience.
    Are you sure things have settled and synced with your phone?

    Well, it's been an hour since i have transferred everything...how can i know if it's still "working"?
    could it be indexing or something?
    I think there were thousands of SMS...

    What should i do?

    You should be able to restore your sms messages from a BBOS backup file using Link.

    Connect USB, choose restore device, scroll down to legacy device backup file, choose the file, hit custom restore and select only sms messages.

    Worked for me.

    ok, just tried it!
    it goes ok, finishes - BUT - still nothing at my SMS list in the HUB!
    how is that possible???

    p.s -there were about 7000.. does it matter?

    That is a lot of text messages. Try restarting and then give it a few hours.

    You may also want to look for a sms backup app available on both your old phone and the new phone.

    gave it about 10 hours. then restarted the phone.. after a while tried restarting the HUB.. no go.
