I've been a BlackBerry user for years, and can honestly say that the swipe texting keyboard is one of my favorite features of BB10!! I've had both the Z10 and Z30 and realized that it just makes typing SOO much easier.
I've seen many people texting on their iPhones and Galaxy's and watch them struggle with one letter at a time, not to mention the spelling mistakes! I know one BlackBerry 10 user who turned OFF their swipe gestures and was absolutely SHOCKED that anyone wouldn't use it!
My spouse recently purchased a PASSPORT, and although you can swipe on the physical keyboard, she still finds herself still missing the swipes on the Z10 and Z30!
Anyone else feel that this feature is not praised enough?!

I agree, fantastic feature. At times it's given me completely unrelated words but for the most part great to have.

It's the best virtual keyboard to date on any device. Once you know how to use it, it's phenomenal.
I'll be selling my passport if a new high end all touch comes out because I miss that feature! Though I also love the way they made it work for the passport

Certainly not quite the same as on the Passport. You're right in saying that it's just phenomenal on the full touch devices. There's something about the BlackBerry virtual keyboard that just gives it this rhythm or flow that feels great.

In contrast to SwiftKey's implementation on Android, which does have some very useful features and shines for one handed typing, it doesn't flow the way it does on BlackBerry, it's more of a disjointed experience.

Imo swiping up can be cumbersome at times (when looking for the word you're looking for). Sometimes it's a lot faster just to two thumb type. I came from Android and I do miss swift key one hand typing/dragging

BUT I do absolutely love swiping down to access numbers and symbols.

I love it. I find it more comfortable for the size of my hands on the Z30 over the Z10 but it's amazing on both. I frequently write similar emails to a work contact after hours and I can swipe the entire email. It's really fantastic. I was never a physical keyboard fan and I don't plan to ever give up my BB10 swiping keyboard if I don't have to.

The Z30's VKB is excellent, innovative, and very productive to use. In fact, we're seeing more and more third-party keyboards use approaches similar to those used in BB10.

I mostly like it, but would love the addition of swiping, dictation, handwriting and cloud support.

What would be the function of cloud support?

The ability to use a customized dictionary on multiple BB10 devices; I use unique words, and would love to use the same set on any BB10 device I use.

Nice! That would indeed take the keyboard up several notches in the likeness scale.

Underrated? Yes. I love how I can complete words simply by flicking up letters on my Z30's VKB. I much prefer sending text and email messages from my BlackBerry 10 VKB device than my iPhone 6 Plus. Still, I'm intrigued by the Classic's PKB. Think I'll continue to enjoy my Z30 until BlackBerry wises up and gives its Z30 successor awesome HW specs.

Completely agree. It would be such a shame if BlackBerry abandons the virtual keyboard/all-touch and only makes physical keyboard devices.

Yeah, that worries me a little as well. Hopefully BlackBerry will realize what they have and continue to implement the VKB features.

I find swiping slow at first until you get going with the sentence. I find myself concentrating hard to find the words which slows me down. Maybe it's just the way I type though..lol

How long have you had your Z30? It did take some concentration at first, but once you get going it just seems to be second nature to me.

You need to get used to it and the more you use it the more it adapts to your writing style. You'll be amazed by what you can do when you reach that point.

Quite awesome, I type long emails and this comes handy.
Also, I liked the android swipe too but, someone in cb community said it wouldn't be possible to implement that in BB10.
I would like to have android swipe too.

Yeah first couple weeks you have to get used to it, but after that you'll find its like butter! Still have some words that won't come up properly, but for the most part, it just makes typing SOO much easier.
