Long story short thousands of users successfully lobbied Canadian carrier Rogers into adding the Blackberry z30 to their BB10 roster. I believe we can do the same in the US and whether you consider this to be useless or a half-assed attempt at activism; I want you to consider the following. If successful, we could set a new precedent in which the users of a particular brand via social networking influence the decision of a corporation. For ultimately their business model should always be, the costumer is always right and not the other way around. Think about it how many times has the end-user ended up with the short end of the stick? How many times have you been stuck with an useless warranty? Or how many times has anyone ever been swindled by a deceptive media campaign to purchase a POS, piece of equipment? The list goes on so you see, in the end whether you support this endeavor or not this is much bigger than blackberry. It is about how costumers can influence the market and how ultimately we should be entitled to have a larger voice on the business practices and ethics of the companies we support and trust.
