[HotFix]

My sources said, BlackBerry made the devices for AT&T and then AT&T decided not to sell them. This results in a big write off for BlackBerry. I asked why can't they sell them directly from their shopblackberry.com and the answer is they cannot sell them unless AT&T picks up the device first. So the STA-100 has been made and are sitting somewhere rotting because AT&T has their head up apples ***. My sources are carrier reps.

I checked with my rep at BlackBerry regarding your source and he noted that the device just got FCC approval. Furthermore BlackBerry wouldn't have built a ton of these devices for a US carrier without FCC approval. As far as he knows there was just an exclusivity deal with Verizon.
