So I went to the Sprint store on Friday to upgrade the phone on another line and the rep was a Blackberry owner. I didn't tell her I also owned a Blackberry so I could hear her pitch. First thing she asks me if I had seen the new Blackberry phones? She told me how her coworkers give her grief about owning a BRRY but she loves it, then she showed me the Z10 and the Q10 and told me how to sideload apps like Instagram. So I told her my main phone is a Bold and then I asked her about the Z30 and she said they will have them next month and that's what she is going to upgrade to as soon as they come in next month It was refreshing to see a sales rep who owns a Blackberry and knows how to pitch them too.

Interesting. CB hasn't reported the Sprint Z30 as having gotten its FCC certification yet, and that's a must before they start selling these phones.

Good to hear. I hope it's accurate. When it was announced that Sprint wasn't getting the Z10, I could have swore there was mention that they were getting an exclusive on the Z30. Something about an earlier start date than other carriers. I may have misunderstood or things may have changed, but I hadn't heard anything else about Sprint and the Z30 since. Not that it matters to me too much, my contract isn't up until January.

You're contract may be up in January if that is your anniversary date, but you can upgrade up to 4 months before that, in other words at 20 months.

I've Taken a GOOD long look at the Z30 and my Z10, I'm not so sure I'm going to upgrade my White Z10 for the Z30, however that is subject to change once I touch and feel an actual Z30(SMILE). I also have a white Blackberry Transform case for my Z10 (love the case), and the Transform case for the Z30 does not have the same quality...A good looking case that doesn't take away from the phone is very important to me

Keep in mind, this is Sprint we're talking about here. They never got the Z10.

Missed that somehow, thanks Raino. I left Sprint because they didn't get the Z10, Verizon has been very very GOOD to me and for me. EXCELLENT coverage and customer service IMHO

Does this Sprint rep use a phone from another carrier? Sprint does not carry the Z10, dont know how she could have showed that phone. That was the main reason I didnt get a new Blackberry.

WRONG. The Sprint Z30 (RGB141LW) does seem to have gone through the FCC. Do some independent research, you lazy bum.

And it seemed to have a lot more documentation than the Verizon Z30. What that means especially vis a vis a release date, if anything, I don't know.

i can't wait till this phone drops. i have been saving my upgrade since january. looking forward to sprint pushing this one to the masses.

Well when the Z10 first surfaced I was told by my Sprint rep they would be getting it. There are also many older threads verifying others were told the same thing. It was never fact they would not be getting it until well after all other carriers had already committed. To say they were never supposed to get it you would have to have inside information and probably be high up at Sprint to know this for sure.
