I'm with AT&T and decided I didn't want to wait on them. I ordered a Z30 on eBay. When it came I popped my AT&T sim card in and have been enjoying the phone immensely. Everything works perfectly - even 4G. Yes, I know I paid more for it, but it's been worth it. A great phone! (I'm in North Carolina, FWIW).
The name of the seller is japan-internet-shop-2006, although the phone was shipped from Houston, Texas.
It came promptly, brand new, sealed box. It is the STA 100-2 model, unlocked. Working great on AT&T.
@DJay1...Thanks for sharing! I have really been thinking about taking the same route you've taken. However, I would like to know if I could get the version of the device that would work for T Mobile. Were you able to get insurance on your phone from AT&T? Thanks!
I don't know about T-Mobile. I would think the phone would work on their system, maybe without LTE, but I have no first-hand experience with T-Mo.I did not contact AT&T about insurance. (Self-insured, I guess!)
He sounded a lot firmer about the 10.2, but it's good to have some sort of an answer other than that boilerplate reply. I'll keep checking the FCC too.
The one listed for Bell STA100-1 is unlocked and suppose to work on ATT. I just am not sure of you can buy without some sort of Bell agreement. It is listed as coming soon and suppose to be available this week.
Edit: I meant to say that the STA100-1 was originally documented as working on ATT's LTE network bands. So this one is the same as what ATT will launch.

Bell doesn't sell the STA100-1, though, and both their Telus and Bell band Z30 listings are incorrect.
I'd stay away from Negri Electronics. Quite a shady outfit (for other, unrelated reasons.)
I think the Crackberry story should change about verizon and Z10, lots of comments about dropping BB there. If CB wants to break news, they should be breaking this news too.

10-4....never used them before, but the model number matched with the documentation I read when the Z30 was announced. I did inquire with gsmnation.com who I used for my Z10 and they did not know when or if they would have the 100-1 model.

The -1 is the AT&T model, that part is true. However, almost everyone, if not everyone who got a Bell unit reported getting a -5. And as of this morning, the -1 hadn't gone through the FCC, which probably means this variant doesn't exist yet.
Blackberry should sell the phone on their website for all those that are not with Verizon and they can offer the full payment price lower, no dealer mark-up.

DrJay1,...so you're getting LTE data throughput? Also, since I'm an AT&T customer,...via BlackBerry Z10,...if I were to go your route, ...couldn't I just remove the LTE SIM card from my Z10 and pop it into the Z30? Tia.

Yes. If you switch out your SIM card from the Z10 to any another phone capable of LTE on AT&T, you will continue to get LTE.
As far as LTE on AT&T goes, I don't think the -2 can do it.
