Going to ask this of people who are a lot smarter than me.

I have a Z30-5 using it on ATT in the Atlanta Area. My main LTE Band is 17(700) which my -5 does not "see". As I am out an about on the Southern Side of the City I pop LTE periodically but would like itall the time but not willing to nor do I want to give up my Z30.

So i got to thinking is it a software restriction or does the hardware of the antenna restrict the the phone and what it can see.

Can either of these be changed so that my -5 can "see" the band 17.

    Thanks Guys for your response.

PS as you can tell I went to Georgia Tech and it seems they did not teach me how to spell restriction, or at least not ignore the auto correct.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. But I've been doing surprisingly well with just HSPA+. Not saying I don't miss LTE, but it works

You'd have to find the AT&T version of the Z30, which doesn't exist outside of a few testing models.

Yeah as none of the other models support that one band. Dont get me wrong, love the phone and I hardly notice the difference, but it is nice to see that LTE light on.
