    Hey,

When I put my z30 to vibrate (and probably silence), the camera shutter becomes silent.

Is this standard now? I feel like just 2 weeks ago I was searching about this and it was noted on the forums that not being able to silence your camera was the norm. People were even suggesting taking pics in burst mode because the shutter was less noisy.

So did this change recently, or am I (or did i) missing something?

I have noticed this on 10.2 that when my phone is on silent so is the camera.

It was brought in with 10.2 I believe. So you having a Z30 should have always had it.

Honestly, never tried it until now. Never was able to turn it off on my 9900, so just learned to live with it.

When I first picked up the z30, I was probably looking at bb10 faqs, hence why there was nothing about it...

Just noticed that today on my Z10 on 10.2. I thought something was wrong until I realized I was in vibrate mode. Turned on sound and camera click is back! Don't remember seeing this in the list of 10.2 features.

It was listed as one of the changes for 10.2. A lot of people were requesting this as iOS and Android (presumably W8 too) have this feature and saw it as a necessity.
