The Z10 had a raised edge to keep the glass elevated when face down. The 30 doesn't.

How long until someone makes a diamond display eh?

There was a sapphire crystal display back then but I don't know what happened to that (on why mobile phone manufacturers don't use it anymore).

Sent from my Nexus 7. Z10 user, STL100-1.

I have an Omega Seamaster watch that is nearly 15 years old that is worn daily and it has not a single mark or scratch on it. That's crystal sapphire glass from memory.

The z30 has normal glass otherwise they would advertise the fact it's GG2 or such.

Some Sony Ericsson phones before utilized sapphire crystal displays. And if I remembered correctly, some expensive Nokia phones did too.

And yes, if the Z30 had a GG2/w.e then BlackBerry would advertise it... Unless their marketing team failed again...

In the experience I've had with Gorilla Glass, it's not as easy to scratch. My Note II has GG2 and doesn't have any scratches, I even did key and coin scratch tests. My Z10's screen feels different, so I haven't done any of those tests. However, it hasn't scratched with everyday use.

Do you use any case, holster, etc?

It's naked. I've never used cases for any of my phones before. And usually they hold up pretty well.

Screen protectors are your friends. I find that my touch screen smoothness is improved with the iSmooth screen protectors. You guys should check them out. They're pretty good
