I never like Samsung phones because of AMOLED screen which to my eyes is always a little blueish. White doesn't look white. Color tones of pics are way off.

Just tried a Z30. Same there. Whilst I admire the power-saving character of these screens but they just don't look right to me.

I hope it is only me.

On brighter note, the phone as a whole is smaller than I thought despite bigger screen. Slimmer bezels than my Z10. Come to think of it. It must be right. The new screen does not need light-emitting tubes by the sides like LCD does.

There are advantages like even better battery life, better screen. But there are disadvantages like hard to see in the sunlight, low light, black theme (I personally like it but others don't ). You can also switch themes for most apps

I'm an LCD guy and agree with what you said. The first non-LCD phone I owned was the Q10 and now the Z30.

I do prefer LCD's for the whites; but I'm now more into the "dark" side. Loaded the latest leak on my Z30 just for dark-themed Bbm and text apps.

Once you go amoled, make sure to use dark themes and you'll be just fine.
