So I got to talking with a rep in store and was told that Z30 pricing would be $179 for a 2/yr and $749 outright.

I laughed and walked out. I can't see the outright price being that but you never know. Telus sells the Q10 for $700 outright.

For once I am disappointed with being a Rogers customer. I want a Z30.

Actually, Telus has the Z30 for $600 outright. So it's even cheaper than the Q10.

Q10 direct from BlackBerry is only 565 CAD so we'll likely see prices drop across all carriers accordingly.

Rogers wants 150 and a 2yr signing for a Z10 as an upgrade. Had to laugh at that considering you can get one for 'free' with a 2yr contract.

Knew there was a reason I went to telus and got it unlocked than reserve one with robbers

I bought mine from Telus and unlocked it, since rogers was last announcing it, and wasn't even going to carry it at first I'll let Telus have my 600 plus tax lol

Like many others I finally gave up on Rogers and purchased my Z30 on-line from Telus - soon to arrive. Where did you purchase your unlock code? Any issues running the Z30 on Rogers network? Thanks in advance.

Seems like Telus outright, then unlock is the way to go. What model number is the Telus model? And will it have wireless charging?

I got my unlock code from cellunlocker.net
It took about 4 hrs to get, and so far it's been great no issues on rogers network for me

whats with all the questions about wireless charging, does it really matter wich one does or doesn't, the phone will last a day then you plug it in and go to bed, is it really that hard

Is it really so hard to believe that someone might want that as a feature?

Have you tried calling through to Retention..? Got my wife upgraded to a Z10, waived the $80 early upgrade fee and gave her the Z10 at $50 (after a $50 instant credit) which is what the 2 yr contract price was at the time I called for the upgrade..

    Nice!
Maybe I should be asking you to call them for me to get me a Z30 for free I was talking about this with a friend last night and he called Rogers up, got them to give him a new PVR and a new HD box for free and it was just after the iPhone 5 launch so he got them to give him 2 iPhone 4S's so he and his wife could upgrade their phones. Might be a stretch to get the Z30 for free but I guess really don't have anything to lose in trying!

Haha well it took me a couple hours but saved me a ton of money.
It's hard to get it for free but a discounted price is definitely possible

yeah, I figure the early upgrade fee will be no problem since they just wiaved my wife's at $80 and I'll be signing up on a new 2 year contract. I'm hoping that talking them down to about $100 for the Z30 then letting me apply the 'upgrading to a new contract' $50 instant rebate to get it down to $50. Perhaps a little optimistic but then again, my account has been with them for 36 years so I've got to figure that that buys at least a little loyalty from them..
