You can expect if a phone comes from a particular carrier, at a minimum, you'll have the splash screen.

What do you define as bloatware? Splash screens are assigned by the carrier and only appear when that carrier's SIM card is inserted.

Other then the splashscreen I had the following pre-installed from rogers:
    - Anyplace live
    - 1 Number
    - My Account

All three I can delete (and not sure if they will return automagically)

If there was anything else I must have deleted it.

So if I got a rogers z30 and unlocked it and use a bell sim....it would have a bell splashscreen rather then a rogers one?

That's all I had as well. I deleted 1 number for bb10 and then installed 1 number for android as it has more features. Then installed anyplace tv live for bb10, anyplace tv home edition for android and smart home monitoring for bb10

I have a q10 from Rogers that I unlocked, with no sim it has a "BlackBerry 10" splash screen, with a Rogers sim it has a "Rogers" splash screen

In my experience on my Rogers Z10, no matter how many times I've deleted the SportsNet App, it always reappears at the next software update. Same with Anyplace Live, 1 Number and My Account.

As always, you might see it vary though but Telus is pretty clean when it comes to bloatware.

About splash screens -- I put an unlocked Z30 on Wind, and now have a Wind splash screen. Comes with the sim, I think.

Can also verify that Telus z30 comes with no bloatware. No splash screen on start up and only Telus account app installed. I also like the fact that there is no carrier branding on the phone itself.

My z30 is unlocked and no matter what sim I put in I get no splash screen. It was originally locked to Telus.

The splash screens are on the SIM not the phone so whichever carrier SIM you use is the one you'll see when you boot up. I have a Z30 directly from BlackBerry with a Rogers SIM. It pushed some Rogers apps to my phone during initial setup but I deleted them and they never got pushed back.

very little and what is there can usually be removed easily. This isnt like android where each manufacturer adds their own spin on every phone. Just maybe some carrier specific items but for me that meant 1 program thats it. If you do have alot loaded on their is very carrier specific.

What do you guys use for sports then? I'd like something to keep up with hockey. Maybe something that sends alerts when a game is starting and whatnot. Is there anything like that?

I love using TSN mobile, but I don't think it can send mobile alerts yet though
