    On October 15th I reserved a Z30 from Roger's device reservation. I started at position 5.

    Today, October 28th, I'm now #3. So it looks like that at least two people canceled.

    I can't blame them since the Z30's are readily available at Telus...

    I will hold out a bit longer but if this goes much into November I will also be canceling my spot on the Z30 wait list! I'll still get one, just likely not from Rogers.

    Anyone else still on the wait list?

    I heard via twitter that they are supposed to be available before the end of this month - see the attached pic from Chris @ Rogers ....

    So they have 4 days now to meet that deadline.

    I understand the frustration with Rogers. I was No. 26 for the longest time but thanks to the persuasiveness of various threads I elected to purchase online from Telus and - presto - my Z30 works like a charm on the Rogers network. Believe me - it can't hurt to give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

    I also preordered with Rogers, started at position 14, currently at position 11. I think if someone changed the pickup location of their device this would also move you up the line though... I hope EOM is true, but I think next week is more likely.

    Has Rogers come out with a price yet and will it be available in store, or is the only way to get one from Rogers via the wait list? They were nice enough to change their mind so I want to get one from them.

    My understanding is the only way to get one is through device reservation or through direct sale to businesses.

    There is absolutely zero advertising in-store or any knowledge of the Z30 by retail sales staff - at least I don't get a sense they have been given any training or have been briefed on the Z30 other than - perhaps - that you can get it online.

    I visited a Rogers store last Saturday to ask about Z30 availability.. the salesman didn't hesitate to tell me that now is not a time to be buying BlackBerry phones. He went on to say that they (BlackBerry) are looking for a buyer and may even go under. I said "Do you think that the phones would suddenly stop working if BlackBerry closed tomorrow? ". That was at Pacific Mall in Markham Ontario and I plan to inform Rogers of this behaviour.

    What did it cost to unlock it? Very inexpensive ... only $19.99 at quickphoneunlock.com ... I had my unlock code in about 4 hours from the time of purchase and my Z30 has worked ever since on all Rogers frequencies, including LTE.

    Cancel and go with Telus (ideally BB would be selling them direct right now...), Rogers doesn't deserve anything for kiting customers around like this.

    I was number 14 until last Friday. Then I went to Telus at upper Canada mall and bought one outright. Unlock from quick phone unlock took 12 minutes. Seriously 10 minutes. Then went to ghost armour at Vaughan mills and got them to make a custom screen protector and a clear piece to protect the chin. They say if and when they get the official I'll get in no charge.

    Just to update my first post. I just canceled with Rogers and I'm switching to Bell. I was able to get a corporate rate through my employer that gives me a better deal than what Rogers was giving me - same 6GB data, more minutes, unlimited long distance. I also get a $200 porting credit on my second bill from Bell.

    Too good of a deal to pass up so bye-bye Rogers! So if you are #4 on the waiting list you are now #3

    Nice to see they are starting to process actual shipments. I'm still OK with switching to Bell as I got the $200 porting credit and a free case and charger. Also Bell has better signal in the building where I work.

    Let us know when you get the notification to go pick up your Rogers Z30
