    I would like to hear the individualized email notifcation ringtones that I have set up for about 30 of my friends, but I don't want to hear a ring, buzz, bell, or any other sound for all the other emails i get during the day....I just want all of the other emails silenced...so is there a setting, app, or any way to only hear the individualized email notification ringtones I've set up?....I may be wrong, but I think the Z30 settings won't allow me to do what I want to do....thanks!

    Yep you can, I have notifications (sound) turned on for only one of my email accounts.

    Notifications > Applications > Email Messages > Your email accounts..then turn sound off or on for each account.

    Also on my settings, the path ends at the "email messages" (where u turn off the sound) It doesn't go on to a "your email account" option.

    bit only goes to

    I think you want notifications from some people, and the rest OFF, within the SAME email account? I wonder if you could do it by making an empty MP3 with no real sound, setting that as the default for that email account, and then adding real sounds for the custom Contact notifications? Never tried it.

    Here's what it should look like where you turn off/on the sound. You can also select the tone whether from the OS or your own downloaded sound.

    Simple enough, but that's not what he is trying to do. Check my message above. It took me a couple of reads before I realized what he was really asking.

    What you wanna do is:

    1) Settings->Notifications -> Application -> Email messages -> Disable all
    2) open Contacts app -> Select desired contact -> Edit-> Ring tones and Notifications. -> Email messages -> Set audible tone

    Note: Part 2) can either be done from settings or contacts app. However, using the contacts app it is slightly easier.

    Custom ring tones take precedence over overall ring tone settings, so it's no issue to disable the sound for the whole email account.
