I have been having an issue with the proximity sensor on my Z30.

Initially when I was on a call and moved the phone away from my face the screen would not turn on.

Now the proximity sensor is always on and the red light is on, the phone gets really hot in the top corner. Tried a reload and that hasn't worked.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Do you mean you reloaded the OS? Or a hard reset? Press a and HOLD both the volume up and down buttons until you see the blue logo. Good luck. If you loaded the OS then it might be hardware

Had a proximity issue the other day. Yesterday, couldn't reproduce. Z30 on latest. Don't recall it happening for like a year since on my Z10.

I had a similar problem with my Z30, and could only get it working by reloading the os.

I have reloaded the OS, and now it is even worse. Opened a case with shop BB and they were going to transfer me to RMA but now want some screen shots and other stuff. Already sent them the logs.

ShopBlackBerry is going to be replacing the device for me, they offered advance exchange instead of having me shipping it and waiting a few days to get it back.

Now I wait for the replacement device.

Having the same issue, but the red light doesn't stay on. But the sensor is shot! Gotten worse and worse over the last month. Good to hear that Shopblackberry was good to deal with. I will call tomorrow.
