    Is $150 a fair price for a used Z30??

    Depends what condition it's in.

If it's in good condition, then yeah, that's actually a steal.

    Exactly what SK above stated.
If the Z30 is unlocked, in good condition and works... $150 is an amazing deal.
Around here a used Z30 will go for $250-500

Personally I'd spend the extra $100 and get it new from BlackBerry if the deal is still going on. If the phone is in really good condition though and not stolen, I agree fantastic deal.

No current deals from BB at the moment and no telling when another will run. Current pricing from ShopBB is $499 and that's IF they have stock; black has been out of stock since just before the end of the previous $250 sale, white went out of stock too but they seem to keep popping up with a few here and there. As of this very moment they have 9, if you want to spend $499!

So back to the $150 used phone, agreed; if it's not beat up and can be proven to not be stolen...as well as either being unlocked, or at least locked to the carrier you wish to use - why not. Just beware of a phone that may be locked and under contract at a carrier you don't wish to use.

Also be VERY careful when doing craigslist/kijiji/etc. deals that you meet somewhere safe. Most deals probably go off just fine but more and more often, robbers are using these methods to get their victims. $150 may not seem like a lot but they probably figure you'll have more than that in your wallet, along with whatever phone you're already carrying, etc.

If it sounds too good to be true make 100% sure you do your own due diligence to ensure you don't get ripped and you're safe.

150 is great deal. I bought mine new on Kijiji for $200 during the first black Friday sale

Depending on the website you're using to buy the Z30... there are things you can look at; like how many other items is the seller selling, are there shifty looking items that they are also selling, some sites have a rate the seller, also see if they have the original box and equipment.
Confirm the information on the box and the phone, things like IMEI or PIN.

Take the back cover off and look for a sticker over one of the screws to make sure it wasn't tampered with, the color should be a light blue sticker. I think it changes to green if water got behind into the set.

Play with the screen colors, keep the screen black and look for any purple defective pixels, then change to a white screen to see if color is consistent on the screen.
