Possibly one of the most disingenuous pieces on Blackberry Z30 release

- I agree with Simon, this loser feeds on attention. If you need to feel better, think of it this way: If the Z30, and BB10 in general weren't a threat to iAndows, they would just ignore BB. Remember as well, BB doesn't have to be as big as the others to survive, they just need to be profitable.09-19-13 07:46 PMLike 0
- Why is it when anyone speaks poorly about BlackBerry they're just haters and baiting? Everything he's said in this article is true. Everything BlackBerry did in terms of trying to promote and advertise BB10 was below average and lackluster at absolute best. So what, they put a large screen in a shell that looks like a GS4, Q10 and Z10 had an orgy and an deformed baby came out.
The Z30 is absolutely too little too late. It's like the last hurrah a sick human has before they finally die. Sure, the BB fans will be enamored by it. (You shouldn't, the 200 mhz clock speed difference isn't a game changer whatsoever - you won't even notice). I love new gadgets, I have the money to buy one off contract, but I sincerely doubt I will be buying it. BlackBerry is a corpse... it sucks to say, but it's really starting to settle in that it's true.kevinnugent likes this.09-19-13 08:31 PMLike 1 -

The fact is, his points are correct - and have all been discussed here, and his last paragraph is quite correct, and I believe fair in it's evaluation:
"If the BlackBerry Z30 is anything like the BlackBerry Z10, it'll be a well-designed piece of hardware with a fairly fresh (though app-deprived) smartphone operating system. But it still won't be enough to bring new BlackBerry users into the fold, and it definitely won't be enough to resuscitate this dying company."09-20-13 02:57 AMLike 0 -
EDIT: LOL! Posted this before seeing BergerKing's post! I think you were indeed the mod I was thinking of.....other mods have requested us NOT to post full articles. I think the policy is: if the King will like it, post a link, if the King disapproves, post the article here, and off with your head!!! ;-)09-20-13 03:00 AMLike 0 - Please stop feeding this troll. I've never even heard of this author or site so why should I care about his opinion especially if it offers little to no insight with zero quality. Even if there is a negative post if it is done with quality and with facts then that is one thing but moron "want to be journalists" should be ignored.

On another note, I find this thread very sad for some reason. Frankly, I don't see that anything that the author of piece presented is untrue. It certainly wasn't presented diplomatically, so I can understand the resentment among the faithful. But to see this kind of over the top, unhinged reaction to someone who in the end simply called a spade a spade is rather pathetic.09-20-13 07:06 AMLike 0 -

Give them a chance to prove themselves, and am sure they will!BlackBerry ruled when apple wasn't even conceived, nothing against apple but hold your horses people! Let's see how and where the chips fall. You ppl can brag after ,if and when BlackBerry goes down.
Apple 1976
BlackBerry:1984
They are both pioneers but you shouldn't underestimate Apple's history.09-20-13 08:27 AMLike 0 - Wow!!!
I can understand people have an opinion but when I look at Google News feeds and see this hack piece on the Z30
I find it very disturbing.

"New 5-inch BlackBerry Z30 still carries the same old stench of death"
"Z30 reeks of "too little, too late" and may just be the last handset ever released by the iconic company. "
if you're interested.
"You probably shouldn't be. If you're a CrackBerryHead with big hands, you might appreciate the Z30, but it's hard to see this phoning appealing to, well, pretty much anybody else. "
"What's more, BlackBerry's app store is in shambles, with around 47,000 apps in its 120,000 app-strong library pumped out by a single high volume, low quality developer. "

Better yet maybe Tweet @BradChacos and let him know what we think about his views on innovation.
Blackberry maybe isn't perfect at marketing but adding a few plastic colour covers to an iPhone isn't either.
I would love to see him feel the tweet from loyal Crackberry lovers.

I just tweeted him something positive about BB and that I can't wait to have a Z30. Fight negative with positive.

Apple: Let's push this back to 1972. Quick now, name the first mktble micro-computer and the largest recall in computer history???
Blackberry: 1984 is a pretty good year. We ask, was your first BB experience before the new millennium?
The negativity started perhaps three years ago, built to a crescendo in mid-June this year and simply was confirmed as the truth shortly thereafter. The financial statements of BB show no chance of survival, relative to this industry, save from a bailout from preferably another Tech Company (or PI with other Tech interests) that can otherwise also use their product/skills. BB has long since been in the process of clearning house to make a purchase more viable.
There are no more chances until new mgmt. and money guarantees are infused. The article is on point and as confirmed--albeit in a lighter tone--in the WSJ and Forbes and Bloomberg on several occasions. Smart phone unit sales and financials are reasonably easy to predict, at least on the level that BB now exists. BUT ... Hey, Jobs once swallowed his pride and sought Gates to play a major role in saving Apple (talk about sleeping with the enemy) ... so stranger things have happened than for someone to breathe new life into our moribund early pioneer of cell tech. Let's keep our fingers crossed ... that there will be some reasonable support for our Z/Q10s through 2015...a tall dream indeed.

or Click Here if pic not working (Had a helluva time trying to add a pic today for some reason...)09-20-13 12:21 PMLike 0 - It's not exactly high-minded wit, so I'm not a big fan, but it is not really guilty of anything other than being colorful and a snarky. People here only get in a tizzy because of their love of BB. Let's be truly honest, if the writer had done something in a similar style in a negative manner about the iphone 5, those SAME people here would be prancing in delight and declaring him the greatest writer of our time.
