Hi , question.... I have a z30, on T-Mobile....My "home" does not accept "private calls", so, like my 9930, I always had *82 before my phone number, so my number would get thru to home etc., everything was working fine up to a week or so ago, all of a sudden, I cant get thru to my home phone, I checked, nothing changed, so under phone settings "show my number", its always been off, I called my office, number comes up private etc, so I turned "off" show my number and of course I can get thru my home...any ideas? on T-Mobile end? i'm pretty sure I said to them I wanted my number blocked, again everything was fine>>> I HAVE NOT CALLED T-MOBILE YET...Thanks in advance

Try *31# before the number you're dialing and let us know if it works.

sk8er_tor!! It worked thank you!!!! BUT WHY??? Again I got this phone programmed December 7th, and everything was working fine with the old *82 before the number...what gives???

If *82 used to work previously, then I suspect something changed on TMO's network side of things. But at least you're up and running now

well thank you very much!!! but a few questions if you don't mind answering if you can, will *82 on T-Mobile end ever come back again? or is *31# the new thing(never heard of it!)? Thanks again for your help

*82 is normally something you would use when calling out on a landline. Cell phone networks normally use the *31# but different phones handle it differently. For example, you may find that *82 will work on one cell phone while on another cell phone, it's *31#.
