My Z30 has started hanging a lot in the past few weeks. Especially since I try to access chat apps like bbm and whatsapp from the hub.
At times a message comes in and it would take long seconds before it can be accessed from the hub. Then the phone would just freeze up. At times the app has to be opened directly before I can respond to the message.
Is anyone experiencing this? I did a hard reset and it changed nothing. I only experience this with Whatsapp and BBM in the Hub.

I've seen some of this on other blackberry 10 devices. Personally, I don't keep old text conversations and call logs. When I'm finished with a conversation, I delete it. I clear my call logs at the end of the day too. I've been doing this for a long time now and I haven't experienced any issues. The hub has been fast for me. Try it. You may find yourself more organized or more productive. whatever it may be you use your phone for right.

OP i have to and the same OS version, have the same problem for whatsapp in hub but for bbm not so much.

Do you suggest I wipe my hub messages?
It's only bbm and whatsapp I experience this. I usually don't like deleting chats. Especially with Whatsapp because when you delete the chats can't be accessed. I just use the phone for browsing and chatting, not so much for calls.

I think BB10 has some sort of cache issue with the hubs memory or something cause if I send a few hundred texts to a single contact within a short time (a couple days) it will usually freeze my hub and make the phone glitchy but I just delete the entire message convo and it fixes all issues..sucks that BlackBerry hasnt found a fix for it tho..

It's not. I've a 32GB SD card. And the memory is less than 50% full. 48% . I deleted all the messages except for my text messages which were few. I'm still monitoring it. It has reduced but it's still slow.
