Than the torch 9800, and that thing had a 3.2" screen. Just to put it into perspective.

That's really nothing to complain about at all. Unfortunately I'm sure people will make it an issue though.

I got the clerk at Best Buy to show me one on Sunday and didn't think it seemed heavy it all.

Neither did he apparently, as he commented he didn't think the battery was in it yet...
(... So yes, i obviously informed him that it had a non-removable battery.)

I haven't noticed the weight at all. It's a very nice size and feels well built and solid but not heavy. The difference is a huge increase is screen real estate in a device not much bigger than the Z10.

I love that it's heavy. I picked up a note 3 and lg g2 and those felt cheap. this feels solid.

I like a phone with some weight. Not sure what my 9850 weighs.

Yeah I don't know what the issue with the weight is - it equal to the Sony Z1 in terms of weight. Just fine in my books.

I believe that quote is from "The Godfather"? Anyway, I'm thinking about complementing my Q10 with a heavy, reliable Z30...

I don't find the Z30 heavy. People are just looking for dumb excuses to trash talk BlackBerry.

Yeah but the note 3 is 5.7 inch and its lighter than the z30 the note 3 is 168 and z30 170. The s4 is 7 inches bigger than z10 but 8 grams lighter than the z10.

The only weight I'm concerned about is the "wait" we have in the USA for the Z30!
