Stainless steel adds a premium look and feel . Z10 lacks the premium look. Looking forward to the A10 . Not worried about the specs, just the OS .

Bezel and sides looks almost like the torch side bezel but squarer.

The two little silver bars at the bottom of the back cover almost look like they could be electrical contacts. I wonder if the NFC coils are in the cover, or maybe it's for wireless charging or even a replacement cover with an external battery?
Those are holes for the microphones, like on the Z10
My PlayBook? Very useful in the shower as a radio and notepad :)
And speaker

Aw. I liked my version better. :)
You know, the more I look at this it sorta reminds me of something:

Wow. Its awesome on the sides. I thought its still s plastic.

I don't want stupid designs with metal to interfere with antenna tuning and performance. Apple Antennagate should be lesson for everyone, radio performance at high UHF frequencies is already enough of a black art without tempting fate by putting conductive parts where the variable human can touch them.
Sure it will be called sta100-?
Sent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone with 10.2.0.483 from Sweden. [2ABA2B4C]
It's is looking nicer with every pic. Not as sleek as the iphone & definitely not as the Q10.
Thanks for sharing OP

I suspect that frame piece will be aluminum, although it looks like the piece on that back cover that covers the tray is coated plastic. Hopefully it's durable and doesn't wear off and look like junk compared to the rest of the wrap around aluminum.

So no contacts for charging in a dock ala 9900?
Did Snowden send you these? I saw the video he did on another post.
I agree! I'm liking the design, but I'm not sure if I should replace my Z10 with this or wait for the first phone running BlackBerry 11 (hopefully) next year. The Z is a pretty ideal size for me.

Is the headphone jack back on the side again? I hope not

Part of the frame around the edge is molded into the back plate, so unless the back plate is aluminum, or they glued / screwed an aluminum piece to the back plate, or the SIM / SD card cover is plastic while the rest of the frame is aluminum, I'm predicting "metal-looking plastic".
Looks like a Palm Centro.

I don't know why they would still have the charging port on the side.
This is one of the few hardware things I don't like about my Z. And number 1 on the list.
It makes it a pain to try and talk on the phone while it is plugged in to charge. It would be less of a problem if it were in the bottom.

To hell with aluminum (it's garbage), give us stainless steel!!!
Aluminum is wannabe-luxurious.

Look at the hi-res pics of the backplate (with an AT&T logo on it) from Tinthe in the other thread. On one of the pictures you can see the backplate from the side and it shows that the clip which molds into the frame is made of black plastic with two holes in it. So there seems to be an additional part missing, which gets plugged onto that clip, which can be very well made of metal. Stainless steel (like the 9900) I hope and suppose. Aluminum is just mediocre, even worse than plastic IMO.

It looks roughly the size of the Note 2... Meaning you're looking at a ~ 6in x 3 1/4in length/width.
A nice size improvement over the Z10... and hey, if the battery can keep up, awesome :D
I was pretty close.
The actual specs are 5.5x2.8x.37.

FINALLY! Someone who gets it!
Aluminum is a soft metal. It was never a good option for a phone. Apple sucessfully convinced the majority of people into thinking that aluminum makes for a superior build. HTC put the nail in the coffin. As a mechanical engineer this bugs the %*#@ out of me. If you want a durable phone, you dont want aluminum. If you don't want a phone that scratches, you don't want aluminum. If you don't want a phone that dents, you don't want aluminum. Blackberry knows what they're doing here. Look at the Q10 and take notes. It is one of the best built phones out there. I just wonder how long until people catch on. Apple has a fantastic manufacturing process, but I've always wondered what their engineers were smoking when they chose a 6000 series aluminum to use on their phone. They could have at least kept a stainless steel band... Idiots.
