    anyway of changing my notification tone...
    I tried my best..settings>notifications...and the got stuck!

    Which notification sound do you wish to change? BBM? Text messages?

    Go to setting,
    Notifications,
    Now tap on the profile you wish to edit (normal, silent, etc. )
    Tap 'customize app notifications',
    Now tap on 'text messages' and you will be able to customize the text message notifications for that profile.

    If you use more than one profile, you need to do this with every profile you are using (be it the same sound or different for each profile).
