    I didnt even completed 24 hours with my Z and the screen went blank on me

    Everything seems ok with the mobile except that screen is dead

    I have tried restarting the mobile, installing the OS again but no luck

    Seems no use but to take it back to maintenance

    Damn that's bad luck. I'm sorry. You should be able to get a brand new one since you've only had it a short time.

    Just came from there

    They said you have 2 options
    1- take it to the service centre which is 100+ km away
    2- wait for the agent which will come on Sunday and will bring it back on Thursday or Sunday


    It seems there's no way to fix it and they are going to replace it for me

    Z30 is my 4th BlackBerry 10 device
    I have Z10 Q10 and another Q10 for my wife

    Not to mention that I'm a big fan of BlackBerry

    Why is this worth a thread ? Stuff like this happens. The construction process of a smartphone is a bit different to the one of a Koenigsegg or a Breitling watch for example.

    My Z30 still works by the way. And it`s the best phone i ever had. By far.

    They absolutly can. But what is the benefit of it for the rest of the world. All we know now is that OP got a bad unit which obviously had a problem from the beginning. Or did the delivery guy drop the package ? Was it used in a bad environment? Was it flashed with beta software ? We don`t know.

    Just what if this a repeated issue or there was something wrong I have done without noticing?

    How would we know ? Did you do something before it went blank ? Nothing mentioned here, so i assume you didn`t. You got a bad unit. Replace it (which you did) and see if it happens again. If it does, we got a thread.

    Actually that happened after installing the leak by some time

    Also I noticed that some time my screen flicks

    Is that normal?

    It was his experience and he posted it. If someone else has the same experience and he posts it he can see what was done to resolve it. If another has the same experience not only can he see how to solve it we see a possible trend. If several report it we have a trend. If many report on the same trend we have an issue.

    What benefit is it to the world in not reporting it?
