When you attempt to text, what happens? Secondly, which device did you have prior to that one?

Check to see if your settings are set proper.

Strange... You may want to reload the OS or try a Security Wipe and go through the setup again.
Try deleting some of the conversations, there's a really annoying bug that BlackBerry implemented into their software last summer.
Not having is instagram is fine, but they have to get rid of this bug.

Wiping now.. back on Z10.. opinions on loading leak? Never done a leak before..

Would not recommend a leak if you don't know how to install one...You can take the risk if you want to.
Pretty tech savy, just never tried a leak.. question was more directed towards stability of .1055...

1055 is real stable, and if you want a 10.2.01809 is really stable. I've run both. I find the later one the best. The 1055 leak the apps respond slower but some new features.
Posted from my Z30 with the CB10 App that doesn't work worth ****,
I'm on 1055. I have no issues. Leak process is very simple... Download, run the leak Autoloader .exe file and wait for it to complete. Run device setup.
Do not do a security wipe with 1055 though, or you will have trouble sending MMS.

Issue resolved.. bad sim from Verizon. Inserted old sim, activated, no problems. Thanks for all the suggestions. Leak tomorrow! :)

Install the leak, you won't regret it. Some very nice additions to the OS and it's very stable. I caution about using BlackBerry Link to restore as that has been known to cause issues.
I never backup/restore with leaks. I use Contact-X and SMS Backup to save my contacts and texts to my SD card.
Install the leak. Run setup. Install those two programs from App World. Restore my contacts, then text messages, then reinstall my other programs at my leisure.

Don't do a back up with link on 1055 it doesn't play well.
