This sounds ridiculous, but I cannot get the battery door off my Z30. Like been-working-on-it-for-two-days cannot get it off.

I am still waiting for my micro SIM from T-Mobile, which is the only reason why I haven't thrown the thing across the room in frustration so far, but this is getting annoying. I'd like to get my micro SD card in there.

I've read the article on getting the door open on Crackberry. I've watched videos of people getting it off on YouTube. I've search the forums. I've tried my nails (NEVER going to work, my nails are extremely weak and basically just rip or bend rather than put any pressure on the door), I've tried the "credit card method", but I can't even get a card corner in the little slot. I've tried a small screwdriver wrapped in a paper towel.

Nothing. Works. Nada. Not getting loose. Not moving at all.

Help? Any methods I've missed so far?

Yeah, that's the video I watched already (as I stated...I've already watched the videos on YouTube). This method does not work for me. My nails are not strong enough.

Bring it back to the place you bought the phone from..
And tell the salesperson to do it for you.
At least you've got someone else to blame if it breaks.

I have a little, very thin, ruler that I use to gently pry it open - takes the place of a fingernail. I've used someone's very thin nail file, too.
I agree with you that this sucker is really stuck on there very nicely.

Another thing that has worked for me is the pull tab from a can of soda. Use the wide end and just insert and twist slowly /gently. The case will open enough for you to get a fingernail in there.

First time is always tightest (that's what she said) but the credit card method will work. What you need to do is push the card toward the center of the phone with a fair amount of pressure. It will only go in about 1/2 inch at most. Then slide the card side to side along the bottom and both sides. I'm not going to lie, this battery door is a major pain, but you can get it with some finesse.

As a side note, I was at the verizon store yesterday and one of the employees got the z30 as his corporate phone and he did break his battery door by trying to just pull it straight off, so be careful.

I used a dime and just gave it a little twist. Worked for me.

Don't use your nail then OP, get something to help you pry it. Guitar pick, dime, dull knives...

Unfortunately that's not an option. No one here sells them (even the Verizon stores). I ordered this one online...lol.

DIng! Ding! Ding! We have a winner. The dime worked like a charm.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions!
