New STA100-5 Z30...
I'm not sure what is the right answer nor after reviewing the NUMEROUS post but here goes my question. I have currently a Z10 running on the 10.3.1.2072/2073 which seems to be working fine on the AT&T network. As the post states I have a virgin STA100-5 Z30 running on the shipped base 10.2.1.3175/3140 OS and Radio. At this point would you hold off waiting for an official release or as I'm getting anxious to use the new Z30 would you do possibly the 10.3.1.2243/2244 and 1995 apps blitz file. Please understand that the new Z30 will be running in an area were it will not receive LTE service because of the band. I have just read so many different posts regarding radio versions but do not seem to get the feedback from AT&T customers with non LTE service and radio versions. So in the end would you do the update blitz now or possible hold out for a few more days for the "official" release. Thanks in advance for any input...

I wouldn't wait for the official

I have a Z10 that I put away in favor of my new Z30 purchased just before Christmas of 2014. I have recently updated to 10.3.1.2243 over a previous autoloader install of 10.3.1.2072. I am on the AT&T network in the Portland, Oregon area. I also installed all of the .1955 apps that were newer than .2072. Conclusion, why wait, the phone is working very well and power consumption, while the phone is idol, is the lowest that I have ever encountered with any build. Go for the update. If, for some reason, you do not like it you can always go back to an older build. If you want to be conservative, pick up the autoloader for 10.3.1.2072. I think this build is going out as an official update in some markets anyway. Then, if you are happy, update to 10.3.1.2243 with Sachesi. This is the route that I took and I could not be happier. Enjoy!
P.S. No, I do not get LTE coverage in Portland, OR. AT&T uses band 17 which is not supported by the STA100-5 Z30 variant that I purchased from Shop Blackberry. So, I get 4G coverage only. Phone reception is great (5 bars) but data transfer is not as fast as my Z10 which did receive LTE. Do I care? Not really. I do not use a lot of data anyway and when I do, I am on WiFi.

Wait, official OS is around here! And of course the official notification on your phone rejoicing is unexplainable!!

4g is LTE.

Well my luck... I did the blitz last evening and set the whole phone up just way I liked it. I used it till about 5:00 PM today and decide to power off and do a full battery charge. The light turn green to show a full charge took it off the charger went to turn on the unit it booted but now I have the dreaded dead screen. I tried auto loading back to 2072 version and all the other options to no avail. Luckily my z10 is still alive. Very disappointed in this Z30 for the quick failure. Got it new off of EBay this last Tuesday and did not really start using it till yesterday. Does anyone know if there is any type of repair/warranty directly from blackberry? If so what is the best number to reach them to start the repair? Please advise...
