I was watching the NBA All Star game tonight on TSN and they had a new Blackberry commercial.. I almost fell out of my chair!

The ad featured the Z30 and the HUB inbox - it pushed the idea that you can respond to all of your messages and notifications in one unified in-box. Wow - this is what I have been saying they should have been doing all along. So happy to see some marketing dollars - well done... Hope to see it in the U.S. also!

Really I wish I watched the game now! I do feel people are getting sick of mindlessly trashing BlackBerry because of the things they've heard, a lot less people looking at me like I must be insane too! Not that the opinion of the sheep matters that much to me but I'm sure BlackBerry wouldn't mind some of their money.
Now is the time to strike although a newer a**kicking device would be easier to market I'm sure. Who advertises 6 months after a product launch?

I haven't seen anything like that, but that sounds like just the type of commercial that BlackBerry needs.

Maybe they'll air one during the Daytona500.. what could be better than Tony Stewart back in his car and BlackBerry commercial too?

You just beat me to this thread. I've been watching the All Star game as well and TSN has aired that commercial several times already. Just like you I almost fell out my chair when it first aired. Good to see BlackBerry putting those advertising dollars to work and a much better commercial then the last....well I won't rehash that last fiasco

Great to hear able a new commercial, but sadly TNT didn't seem to have picked it up stateside. Would have been great to get the word out down here too, especially if it's paired with a convenient announcement from AT&T on Tuesday that they'll be carrying it soon. But, one can only dream...

I just watched the ad from that link. UGHHHHHHH!! It's so... "Friendly!" and I don't mean that in a good way! Where's the "Cool?!?!?!" Why is BlackBerry incapable of being cool??? "Nice" and "Friendly" will NOT sell the Z30! COOL will!!!!

Boulben, but since Heins hired him I guess so. And I wouldn't say stupid, per se, more so ill-equipped, misdirected, or even ignorant of the message that the market was expecting to hear from BlackBerry during the BB10 launch.

Amen brother! They are killing me with these commercials. Too robotic, too European looking, and nothing to show you how people use the phone in everyday life. How about showing the power of the HDMI cable and wifi hooked up to a big screen TV, playing a game or hooked to a projector giving a presentation. I do these kind of things all the time. If I want to show more than a couple of people something off of YouTube, I hook it up to the projector, like in an auditorium and boom, it's like watching it off a laptop. It is quick and impressive. Or have some teenage girls using BBM video talking to their friends across town, laughing it up then sharing the screen to show them something. Make the thing real! When I put the phone in another person's hand and let them use the gestures, they're impressed but the carrier's aren't pushing it. To Blackberry, if you don't push your product as the next best thing, no one else will.
