    So do we know if that chin is metal or plastic yet?

    Great looking device, anyway. GS4 and HTC One are ugly to me. This is pure class. Though I still think this style of phone is silly (phablet).

    It's plastic. If you watch the N4BB comparison, you will see that he nicked the bottom bezel, the silver came off to reveal black underneath. I was really hoping it was metal... I always liked the metal of my 9930, and while I love my z10, it doesn't have the same build quality feel to it and it doesn't look like I'll get it with the z30 either

    HTC One is a beauty. Lol. Even more beautiful than my Z10 I think. While design-wise compared to Z30, the Z10 is a better looking phone.

    Then it's a defect, they can send them back for replacement phones. I've only seen one thread with one persons mentioning this.

    The use of the Braun-style/dieter rams speaker grills seem a bit cheesy to me. Kind of like a miniature leica camera that shoots 16mm. And I'm not on board with the inlays on the rear of the phone.

    I mean, it's better looking than most electronics on the market, but I think the taste level is wanting. The average consumer goes: look at those Dieter Rams inspired speaker grillls...brilliant industrial design! I prefer originality to derivitism. And I think Apple was a bit more editorial with their hardware design (similarly inspired by Braun), though not immune to criticism.

    I know they said the chin is plastic (makes sense because of antennas) but are the sides plastic or metal? The n4bb guy said it might be metal

    The chin can't be plastic if the trim is metal because they're all connected...it's one piece.
