Same thing happened about 4 weeks ago to my partners z10. I took it apart dried it a bit put it in rice for two days and it works fine now.

I dropped my Z10 in the bath, I immediately removed the battery, drowned it in rice for an hour before turning it back on, it worked but the screen would go off for a second and then come back on again, so I decided to leave it in rice for the rest of the night, woke up the next morning and everything was fine

Unfortunately for my Z30 though, I dropped it screen first flat on the tiled floor, 5ft high, the screen goes off randomly like my Z10 was doing like as if the Proximity Sensor is damaged :-/ Really annoying, considering this can happen once a blue and then have it constantly going for on a random day.
