Try creating a new Notification profile:
Settings --> Notifications --> Tap the big + at the bottom of the screen.
Give it a profile name --> Create
    Click Customize App Notifications
    Click Phone
Turn on, if not already, All Notifications, Sound.
Tap Ringtone and select a sound file (or Browse Music)

When you're done on this screen with your preferences, hit the back arrow in the bottom left hand corner twice
Make sure the sound scale is at a good level, and then hit the back arrow one more time
Your new Notification Profile should be listed
Exit and go back into Notifications
Change Active Profile drop down to your newly created Notification Profile and back out.

    Test and let us know.

Before anything else, try rebooting the phone by holding both volume up/down buttons until it restarts. As silly as it sounds, this fixed a "no ring tone" problem on my wife's Z30.
