everyone always compares BMW with blackberry but knowing cars it's not a very accurate comparison.. BBs are work horse phones meant to be used and abused, they are easy and cheap to repair, their specs are not the greatest compared to the competition, no one really desires a BB for a status symbol... does that really sound like a bimmer? lol

Back in 2007, It was a status symbol for the rich and super elite of society. People would stop and stare at me knowing I was someone important.

It's not a bimmer. It's more like a old Rolls Royce

Sorry but BB is not a better working OS than a base Android(direct from Google). If you want to compare BB to BMW you would end up with a 7 series (price) with a Inline 4 (proc), imitation leather seats/fake wood trim (OS that looks good but isn't refined), and has the options of a 3 series (features).....

I was comparing the early years of muscle cars. Which got faster and bigger yet lacked refinement of nicer cars.

European cars like a BMW etc had, in general smaller engines but better overall specs. A better overall experience.

That is what the new BlackBerry is going for.

Actually, to get more generic here, I would compare Android with big oversized SUVs and iPhone and BlackBerries as regular cars. When you are driving to work, you may love that V10 in your Ford Excursion, but it will be no more practical for the average driver than my Saturn Vue.

The correct comparison is if you want a car with four wheels or eight? People are being suckered into thinking that if four wheels (720 on a 5" or less screen) are good for driving a car around, then eight wheels (1080) must be better. I am still waiting for those eight wheeled cars in marketing. Four wheels are optimum and so is 720 (~300 ppi).

At this point, i'd almost have to agree, the mustang is probably more reliable....less battery pulls, less restarts, less updates.....
Mustang being the same engine as it has for years....

I've found a good comparison with phones and cars is to compare then with trucks. If you want a truck loaded up with a V8 5.7L HEMI engine, like a ram, it's kinda like getting an android. But you could get the exact same speed and power, if not more, from a smaller Ford 3.5L V6 twin turbo Ecoboost engine, like on the F-150s, then it's like buying a blackberry. The exact same power and speed coming out of both trucks, but one is just much smaller than the other (also a f*ckton more fuel efficient)
