    The black bar is due to the movie's aspect ratio on the Passport's screen. The black bars won't be there if the TV's aspect ratio is the same as the movie's aspect ratio.

    I really don't care about the black bars so long as the image is viewable and one is not squinting to see if the guy was pointing a gun or a pen.
