I can't for the life of me figure out what's going on. I've deleted a ton of apps and have moved all media and documents from device to SD card but I continue to get the device storage almost full.
Reinstall the OS. Hopefully you can selectively restore from backup cuz most people suggest not restoring from a full backup: it will likely just replicate your existing memory problem.
I had the same issue not long ago. What I found was a very huge temp file that was causing the issue. I used Ghost commander and found two giant temp files that was over 2 gb each. It seemed to be related to thumbnails I think. I deleted those and no more issues. Don't delete anything else. Good luck.
I had the same message 2 days ago. I sync'd all my pics/vids to my PC. Then deleted them all from my phone and that opened up 9 GB's of space. The message hasn't returned. Are you still close to maxxing out your space?
I've got no media left on my device all moved over. Still getting the crashes and horrible hanging so I'm gonna backup, security wipe and do a selective reinstall.
Really wish I could delete those damn amazon app stores... I notice they always run but they can't be the issue suddenly.... I haven't used them in months.
Funny thing is I've deleted so much from the device but internal memory still shows only 535mb to 595mb of device memory left.... something has to be wrong so I'll try a restore and report back.

That's the system ram (memory). You must look for the storage ram.
Seems like sufficient storage ram but still constantly get low storage message like in my op.
Security wipe, reload os and updates and then selectively restore apps.
Is this the best route?

I assume you have a 16GB phone. Yet it appears you have used 13GB. I started to get that message when my storage approached the 15.5GB used range. Hmmm it is strange you are getting it now.
Your System needs 3 times more ram then mine.
Normally on the Z30 it's use ~ 3 gig.
I ignore the low ram messages.
I think the system warns you because it's needs ~ 1.5 -2 gig ram for OTA updates.
I sw my phone yen selectively started with cobalt 's packages, yen started adding my apps from Google, will try the pump folder to see what I can find.
Try manually deleting the data and junk files of the apps for you deleted by exploring the phone's files, especially misc & android folders. Then reboot phone.
Hope it helps. If it doesn't I'm afraid you might have to "erase" the phone and reload the os. No big deal though, there are a lot of faqs on the forums on how to proceed (just make sure you save your important files prior to, should you need to reload the os).

I can see you are using WhatsApp.
I experienced a weird problem. I have observed the storage is going down every day. I tried to clear cache, cookies and other data from browser but there was no much change. Then, I dived in each folder to analyse what's going on and I discovered the culprit was WhatsApp. It was creating separate backup file every day and eating up the space. A 180 mb file everyday that's whooping 1 gb of space in 5-6 days!! I don't understand why it's not replacing the old one and creating new everyday. I Simply keep the latest and delete the old ones. Here is a screen shot. See if yours is doing the same. Hope it helps.
My Z30 was at 13 GB out of its total device memory of 16 GB for quite a long while. But in the last few months, it started creeping upward. Over the last couple of weeks it crept up to 15 GB and I started getting several warnings every day and a number of apps started working slowly.
I don't use WhatsApp FYI so that wasn't the issue in my case.
Here's what I did last night:
1. I used Link to sync my contacts and calendar with my MS Outlook 2007 on my Windows 10 laptop.
2. Then I used Link to backup my Z30 using the "custom" backup rather than the full or basic backup. I scrolled down thru the list of apps under the "custom" heading, ticking the check boxes only for those apps where I want to keep the app's data. For example, "Google Earth", I don't need any user data for that app so I left it unchecked. For my "Browsie Browser" app, I need to keep that data, (bookmarks etc.) so I made sure it was checked.
I unchecked the application executables since I was intending to re-download any apps needed before doing the custom restore. That accounted for about 1.5 GB.
I also noted that the "Runtime" was listed as 3.5 GB. So I unchecked that.
The backup took half an hour or so.
3. Then I used Link to reload the device software. That took about 45 minutes to download and install 10.3.2.2474.
4. On device startup I went thru the basic setup, skipping wifi, and pretty much skipping anything else that could be skipped. Had to select the language, agree to the licence, and enter my bbid.
5. I used the BB10 app manager in Google Chrome on my laptop to sideload Snap.
6. I used BlackBerry World and Snap to download and reinstall all my apps.
7. I used Link to restore the custom backup file created in step 2.
8. I used Link to sync my calendar and contacts with Outlook.
Boom, after about 3 hours total time and voila, I'm back to full functionality and my Z30 is now at 10 GB instead of 15. Everything is back to its normal snappy self!
