Just had the "battery level below 10%" warning come up on my Z30, a full 28 hours since its last charge. I've been using the phone extensively over network data and calling and on wifi.

Nice! I noticed a big improvement in battery life on my Z30 going from 1925 to 2141. Even better than what it was on 10.2.0.

There are step by step instructions are here on Crackberry. I used Vodafone UK as the carrier and STA100-2 as device. All went well with the installation.

I don't get nearly that long but it lasts me longer than my day! It's way better than my Z10 that my Z30 was at 48% when I had gone through 4 full batteries on my Z10.

I know it's not just me, but I am one of those who got worse battery life after upgrading to 10.2.1
I was getting terrific battery life with 10.2.0 but not anymore. Look at this:



This is overnight. I only played with the phone for 2 hours between this period, and it should not be draining battery like this.
Blackberry Hub is eating my battery like crazy. I really hate not being able to set Auto ON/OFF. At least BB should allow us Peak/Non Peak setting to avoid this!

I have no idea. I have one exchange account and 4 hotmail active sync accounts all push.

I also got better battery life with the the 10.2.1.2104 update. I have media sharing turned off, location services off, and the display is at the lowest.
Battery life I can squeeze out to 4 days if I don't play games.... and this coming from a moderate user.

Same here.
For me, it seems to be HUB eating battery randomly. One day it will be just fine, another day it will eat up %50 battery overnight. Maybe something gets stuck and keeps syncing for no reason? I don't really get it.

I even switch on flight mode in the night and I don't get the performance on 10.2! The so called MR from 10.2.1.537 on 10.2.1.2102 didn't change anything!

Like I said below, I wouldn't wipe that fast, and I am glad I didn't. There was sure something wrong with hub and after few days either it fixed whatever was causing the issue or it had something to do with server not completely closing or finalizing the sync (this is all my assumptions) because recently it fixed itself and I am getting that great battery life again.

I also have a strong suspicion that Playbook charger's charge caused rapid discharge. It looks like it was charged, but it died quickly compared to slow charger. I think I had similar experience with 9900 in the past. If you just need a quick boost, PB charger seems to do job well, but maybe it gets a lot of "air bubbles" of some sort stuck in between "packets of energy".. Who knows-- Anyway, now it is all good again, amazing battery life:

It took about 2 Minutes, I made screen shots of the relevant informations before (smtp adress etc.)!

I absolutely recommend doing this it seems to help!

Then I kept playing a game that uses a lot of graphics power



This is coming from a person who had terrible battery life, 2 days with normal usage and without a touch of charger.
With this type of usage, if I use conservatively and do not keep it on at night (just turn it off) and not play any graphic intensive games, I think we all can easily see 3 business days of usage out of this phone. I do not talk on the phone a lot.

Starting to wonder if you were on to something about the playbook charger.

I just started using it on my Z30 and love that I can fully charge the phone in like 1 hour 45mins however i'm noticing major battery drain.

I'm gonna charge again with the stock one to see if it makes a difference.
