Droids or Android devices? Maybe on par but not surpassing.
    sorry, yeah Android devices...

as far as the new touch flagship... http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/1272...15-says-source

this specific one doesn't mention being touch but there's several articles floating around about it actually and I believe one did.. plus why would they need those specs without a large quality screen?... of course, device not confirmed, but at this point, pretty much only the Z3 is 100% confirmed, nothing rarely is until they start selling the thing... Q20 is very very likely, but I still wouldn't bet the farm on it...

It could just be that I'm not good at taking pictures. I guess in the right setting the pics can be good.

Edit. I took this today with the HDR setting.

are you saying that's not a good pic or is? to me, that looks pretty darn good.. detail is much more than adequate for any smartphone pic imo...

The hdr mode is great for taking still pictures as it merges 3 pictures together however when moving about u tend to get a ghost effect.

I was taking pictures at night at a concert using all the setting I could and still mine was the worst compared to my mates and the people around me.

There was even a guy with his phone and a detachable lens using what might have been a Samsung galaxy s4.

Here's a review about the camera

I do not choose my phone based on the camera or availability of apps. My choose is based on OS and security. So until someone can beat blackberry at that, blackberry will continue to be my phone.

I just purchased my z30, got it finally on Friday. Unfortunately I found that the device just didn't suit me. I love the speed and battery life, but it felt so heavy and cumbersome. Even my Note 3 feels lighter in comparison. I also missed my q10 and how it just fits so nicely in the hand. So the z30 is going up for sale.

Let's hope you can afford the postage with it being so heavy.

Well, the Z30 is a bit heavier than some devices, but I still love it. Each to his or her own!

What setting was it on? Yesterday I took a 3 pics of a small pine cone. One real close, a little further away and again a little further away. Of course they are day shots and not bright lights of a concert.

That would a difficult shot to take anyway with the dark background and bright stage lighting. Most, if not all camera phones would struggle with that.

like kbz said, that is a tough shot for a smartphone, BUT...

you can improve the detail in low-light situations dramatically by moving the focus square to a darker part of the shot, and it doesn't look like that was done with this pic.

I just got my Z30 last week and although I do enjoy it, there are some major problems (not all specifically for this model)

I thought the hub layout was going to be a little different then it is. When I have something open in the hub and I swipe up and to the left it goes to that object. Then to actually get to the notification area of the hub I have to swipe to the left 2 times.

Is there something I'm missing or a customization that I am able to do because this is horrible.

Another thing is the browser, although very powerful, has problems with flash on certain sites and when I'm on such sites I am unable to pinch to zoom at all.

My back cover is extremely hard to get off and the portion covering the SD card/SIM card slot doesn't mate so well and I'm sure dust will get in there easily.

The keyboard "double finger pulldown" to close is not so intuitive especially when you're using one hand. Holding the spacebar for a few seconds is a little long too. If there is a way to change the layout I'm all ears.

If that hub issue can be changed I would recommend this phone to many people. It is very frustrating especially switching between applications.

Also some of the native apps (Facebook, Yahoo, Scotiabank) are much worse then the android versions and I have been using them instead.

Keep in mind I loved my blackbery bold 9900 and the yahoo app was great and I am currently on the newer OS (10.2.1) and anything less then this would be unbearable. I understand my android phone was lacking before their updates but that was.. 2 years ago. I hope the newer updates fix some of the issues.

Anybody who has any fixes or help, I'm listening.

Re: Keyboard pull-down -- I didn't even know about that. In BBM or SMS, I've always just tapped above the keyboard with my thumb to make it disappear. I'm using a Z10 with a 10.1 OS (courtesy the slackers at AT&T), but I'd be surprised if you couldn't also make your keyboard go away with a single thumb-tap.

I have to agree about the camera. It isn't any better than what was in my 9850.
I've had both, and this is NOT remotely my experience. Imo, for what it's worth, the cameras for both devices are not anywhere near as bad as some make them out to be...

There's an old computer adage that is still applicable (and probably more so) to the smartphone era: " 95% of the problems are directly related to the nut attached to the keyboard." If people would invest a little time in learning how to use their devices, rather then ******** at every opportunity to do so, they might start to enjoy some of the amazing technology that is available. The OP is either a lousy photographer, or has spent very little time learning the equipment - or both. The Z30 actually has a very nice camera for those who are willing to put a little effort into the learning curve, rather then whining all the time.
I had to seriously laugh at this.. by the end of the day I'm one of very few people that took the plunge and bought a BlackBerry.

U right I spent my money wrongly should not have bother in the first place investing in a BlackBerry.

U r so right xenrobia BlackBerry does not need new users or customers they financially doing so well with u as there loyal customers.lmfao
