LED indicator on white z30

Anyone else notice that the LED on the white model flashes off to the right of what I thought was supposed to be the LED?

There's two things on the top - to the left I'm assuming is the camera and the right is the light indicator.

Anyway, the effect is that when it flashes it's a subdued red, since it's underneath the white bezel.

Is my unit defective lol or is that how it is lol

I had a White Z10 like that as well - I think it's just the norm for the white phones. White plastic lets through light whereas the dark plastic does not. I'm sure this is the same on the black phones - we just don't notice it.
