    Blackberry Z30 STA100-2 OS version 10.3.2.2786

1] Every time I turn my phone off I lose all the previous setup and have to do it all over again.
2] The phone will not show it is charging unless I turn it off, but when I turn it off it does charge. Not really sure if it is charging when it is on, maybe the charging icon is not registering the charge.

My questions are: Would a hard reset possibly solve this problem or is there something else I can do?
Is there a way to update the OS now that Blackberry is not supporting?

NOTE: I have another Z30 STA100-2 10.3.2.2836 and it is working fine.

It is possible that 10.3.2.2786 is the problem in this case. There have been issues with specific OS versions that are unique to the Z30. In my opinion, you should update (both Z30's) to the latest 10.3.3.3216 from here: https://mega.nz/#F!ERomDKaT!YYXwe5p2bUlm_4VW5VfTtw

Wow. Can't believe there are any of these left!!!

    Fix:

Once complete, you can then follow @brookie229 's suggestion.

Thanks for reply and help. I will fire up the windows machine and forge ahead to do "the fix".
Yes, I know they are old, but for what we use them for [phone, mail, texting, facebook, music] they are still perfect and for the most part working well.
@brookie229 Thanks for reply and help.
If I do the upgrade to 10.3.3.3216 is there anyway to reverse it or install a lesser upgrade, say 10.3.2.2836? Reason I am asking is I read somewhere in this forum that someone said that 10.3.3.3216 made their phone slow or boggy. [It was only one post and so could have been hardware problems, I don't know.] I see the sense in upgrading the one phone 'cos it has problems and upgrading couldn't be any worse and maybe a whole lot better.

Once updated, you cannot go back to 10.3.2.xxxx but you won't want to. Every update of the BB10 OS (with 1 or 2 exceptions) has been an improvement. Speed, features and bug removal have all been seen with the latest (and probably last OS update) 10.3.3.3216. I highly recommend the update.

FWIW - I believe conite was referring to software version you’re currently running due to aforementioned problems.

Correct. I was referring to BB10 devices with the "blue LED / wipe after reboot" issue.

Does this Fix File have anything to do with the "locked out of settings" issue, or is that unrelated? Thanks.

What do you mean "locked out" ? Are you referring to a black screen?

If so, you have to run an autoloader to fix it.

No, meant when you cannot connect to wireless and settings are unavailable.

So did you try the solution?

I was simply curious. This happened to my phone, once, and I updated the OS. Haven't had a problem since, but had read that the OS upgrade was only a temporary solution. So was curious if this fix was permanent.

The Z30 is prone to this issue, but 10.3.3.2205 is the worst.
