And it's beautiful again. I forgot what it was like to have a screen without the cracks.

I ordered the screen from a Chinese website but it definitely is the oem screen.
And installation took about... 5 minutes and 5$ of tools

The place I got it is called smartphonebay I think, besides taking 4 weeks to finally get to me, I'm pretty darn happy, and I didn't pay a penny for shipping !

I just ordered mine from amazon, broke my screen on Friday. Will arrive on Thursday. Can't wait! The packing tape keeping glass together is awful. Took quite the fall to crack it!

Good luck! It's as easy as they get honestly, use JC's YouTube video, just search for "replacing z30 screen"

Make sure you have a T4 torx

Hooooooly crap. Literally took 5min. No joke. SO nice. Almost thankful now that vzw doesn't carry them anymore. $200 vs $40.

And the case is pretty nice I wish the blue one was on sale too though

Just bought a broken screen Z30 myself. After seeing how easy it was to replace it I figured I couldn't go wrong for 99 euros...

Typing this on the cracked screen right now. Ordered a new screen for 28 euros.

It's real easy to replace, I did mine. If you have a vzw model though you have to get the screen for a vzw model. They are different.

I am a bit concerned of the screen.

I mean, how fragile is this really???
Can it survive hot days like +100 degree temps?
My question to the OP, what caused the cracking of the screen?

The reason I trashed my Galaxy S4, is that I heard reports that the screen even cracked while the phone was inside of a pocket while walking or climbing up stairs...Hope this was not the case...

Smartphonebay screwed me over! They sent a screen that works but has no frame. There is no silver back, plastic trim or screw holes or tabs to fasten it to the phone! Now they are playing games and saying that what was sent is correct. The photo they use to advertise shows all of that but it's not what they sent! My suggestion? Don't anyone else buy there!

BTW, Anyone know how to remove the old screen from the frame and glue the new one on?

    Stickboy.

Sorry to hear that. If you paid it via PayPal you can report it as fraud and claim the money back.

For the screen, you will need a hot air gun, but this is a messy thing. I destroyed my Bold 9000 when tried to replace the screen.

That's weird, mine had everything ready. I would dispute with PayPal asap.

It's very hard otherwise if not impossible to replace the screen really.

Also mine had falled in my garage that's why it cracked initially.

It's an UV glue. Check lcdglue.com.

However, like I said before I failed, lol

Well the one they sent me was perfect as I stated.
Their customer service is bad though (straight from China) so if you can get it from amazon it's better.
Though amazon.com refuses to ship to canada

Never dealt with the company mentioned earlier in this thread, but I've bought several replacement parts (including a couple of screens, Z30 and Z10) from etradesupply. Arrived much, much quicker and top quality.

And yes, Z30 screen replacement is ridiculously easy. Z10, not so much!

No need to get excited...any phone can suffer a broken screen. Usually takes being treated very harshly, or hit "just right". My g/f drops her Z30 all the time and it only cracked the screen because of no edge protection using the leather flip case. We've since changed to a different case. Dropped many more times, no damage, yet anyway...

So you would recommend etradesupply? I've visited their site before but was kinda skeptical when I discovered the parts were coming from China. I'm in need of a White Z30 screen for STA100-5.
