Well it's here, not got time to play with it now but I'll report back when I do.

I like the build quality so far and the screen looks great much better than a Q10.
Just ordered an unlocked Z30! Anyone else gone from Z10 to Z30?-img_00000246.jpg

I have been using the Z30 a couple of weeks now and even though I love and been holding on to the Z10 sadly when I pick it up after using the Z30 the Z10 feels dated. The bigger screen and feel of using the 30 is so nice, and the battery life is tops for sure. I had gotten used to placing the Z10 on charge every night that I find myself constantly checking the battery level of the Z30 only to find out its still going strong after a day. Back when I switched from the 9930 to the Z10 was a heart breaking day. I don't feel that same pressure now and think any day now I may be letting the Z10 go.

    Guys,
I charged my Z30 for 4 hours this morning (for the first time) After using it for approximately 6 hours now, my battery just got 60% power left. It is not a good sign right? Z30 should be rocking for 23-24 hours right? Or is it because I don't let it charged for 8-12 straight hours before using it?

Battery life will improve after several charge / discharge cycles. Do not judge a phone before going through a few of those. Keep it on the charger at night and plug it in shortly after you hit "battery is low / below 10%". That way the phone can calibrate its charge level range, and you avoid any deep discharge risk.

    Hope that helps.

I fear the reason it won't be is that BlackBerry and the carriers aren't advertising it, haven't seen a single advert for the Z30 in the UK, it's like the phone that nobody is supposed to know about. Most carriers and high street phone stores that stocked it at launch here have dropped it already.

If the Z10 had the specs of the Z30 instead of a phone designed the best part of a year earlier then things could have played out better for BB10 and BlackBerry in 2013.

But it is what it is, I'm still going to enjoy my Z30, I might very well be the only person in town who has one!

We are out there, us Z30 users. We're too busy working, having meetings, talking through our presentations. No time for playing with throw away apps and worrying about if my iPhone is cool or the seasons in colour. We just want a device that will do the job. Z30 allows me to do that.

3rd day using a Z30, the battery life is not that great for me. After just 5 hours of moderate usage today, the battery has only 67% power remaining. It is just slightly better than my Z10. What did I do wrong? Do I need to install the leaked OS to get the better power consumption? I'm using the default OS 10.2.0.224 now.

I have a Z10 and I just bought a Z30. I cannot transfer data from Z10 to Z30 via blackberry link as my Z10 has a higher version of software than my Z30 9which is brand new). How do I resolve this problem.

Moved up to a 30 last month. Is awesome!!! Was worried the larger screen would be TOO big. But really it is perfect. It's a little bigger in the pocket but not much. Love this thing!

Depends what you were doing. Gaming I can only get roughly 3 hrs. But email/text/web and apps like CB can easily get more than a full 18 hour day of use. Gaming and surfing Internet use a fair bit of battery on any device.

I was forgetting the rip off Selfridges "launch", I don't really think of a phone as launched until the carriers have it to sell to the masses, which was actually sometime in October looking back. It's not long ago though, it's surprising how it's vanished from carrier's lineups already.

That "must be able to walk in to a carrier's shop to buy a phone" mentality is quite strong here in the UK but not something I subscribe to personally. I haven't bought a phone in a shop for a decade and that one was last minute as a gift for someone else.

The real reason that buying phones on contracts here from carriers is still such a common thing is that credit is cheap and easily accessible to so many even in this recession and the tariffs available are very competitive when you do. For as little as 8.50 UK pounds a month you can sign on the dotted line and walk out of a shop with a Galaxy Ace or a Lumia 520, 100 free mins of calls, 5000 texts and 500MB data a month, probably with some other gift thrown in free like last year's bargain basement tablet.

The UK Amazon Marketplace has a company selling unlocked Z30s but they are expensive and low on stock, EBay has the better deals though it seems for unlocked Z30s.

Phones 4 U have stopped stocking bb10 handsets altogether but CPW stocks the lot and at cheaper contract price than the networks. My brother in law just picked up the Z30 on O2 for 40 per month in CPW with unique, unlimited, 5Gb data on 4G. I'm paying 37 for my Z10 from O2 with unlimited, unlimited, 1Gb data.

O2 say they'll be stocking the Z30 in the new year.

The decide, though bigger, feels better in hand than the Z10. The entire experience is better. Everything, especially the battery life and the sound. This thing refuses to die. I had a charging rhythm with my Z10 because it never lasted a day buy I can't get up a rhythm with the Z30 because it refuses to die.

I own a Z10. What bothers me about the Z30 the built-in battery. Call me paranoid, but if you don't pull the battery, your GPS Radio, Camera...
I like the block-like design of my Z10 and the fact that I can swap batteries if I'm running low. Pro tip: you can buy Z10 factory batteries cheap on eBay for about 9 bucks a piece.

What appeals to me about the Z30 is the audio-quality demoed

10.2.1.1925 has been humming along sweetly for two weeks on my Z30 SUPERPHONE without a hitch. I have installed Snap, 1 Mobile, and the Amazon App Store and am enjoying installing tons of Android Apps without having to side load.
As a test I unplugged my Z30 fully charged on Friday at 2:00pm. That was 22 hours ago and I'm at 22% as I submit this. That?s pretty darn good.

Just switched from z10 to 30. So far I'm loving this phone more than I thought I would. Love the extra screen real estate and the size and weight feels better in my hands. I'm contemplating whether to sell the 10 on eBay. I probably won't though, it'll be my back up.
