    Hello CB,

I've purchased a Telus Z30, and I'm trying to unlock it but having trouble. Upon search many have recommended "quickphoneunlock.com". When attempting to input the IMEI (which is 16 digits long) I get stopped at the 15th. I've tried different browsers between a Mac and PC and the same problem persists. I also tried "freemyblackberry.com" with the same issue. Is there something I should be doing differently? Or try a different website?

    Thanks.

SAME thing happened to me with my BlackBerry Q10 from Telus. I found CellUnlocker.net has the lowest prices, and also accepted my longer IMEI

Hey Now... Your IMEI is actually the first 15 characters ( if you pressed *#06# from your phone keypad, like most phones including legacy BB's but not BB 10's ), But if you go to Settings / About / Hardware tab the IMEI is 15 characters. I hope this helps.

Use GetUnlocked.com. They've unlocked two BB10 devices for me - a Z10 and a Z30 - without a hitch. Go with their least urgent option, 24 - 48 hours for a small discount. They still got me the codes within a business day.

Had the same issue with my Z30. Would start off by not recommending freemyblackberry.com. They tried to unlock my first from Rogers and then current Telis Z30 and were unsuccessful. Told me the code was not found in database and suggested I had refurbished phones. Was frustrating and made me unsure of the phones I bought. Ended up using a local service in Gatineau that was listed on quickphoneunlock.com, and they had my code in 24 hrs. Cost a little more, but I was just glad to have an unlocked Z30 when others couldn't do it

That's what I did initially. I will try the 15 digits then via settings/about/hardware.

    Thanks everyone for your help.

    Hi,
I used cellunlocker.net in October for my Z30 that was on Bell. No problem. A few extra bucks but less than the carrier and worked like a charm. See if that one will accept 16 digits. I guess the numbers are getting longer with more models being sold. My IMEI is 15 digits as well.

    Good luck

Had an issue with my IMEI when sending phone for service. Looks like the newer OS update added a "28" on the end of the IMEI.

    Perhaps drop the end?

The first 14 digits are unique enough to distinct your handset. The fifteen is version# and the last one is check digit.
