Previously owned bb, bad experience with Playbook. I went to Android for the past few years. My HTC one m7 died so I just ordered a z30, I am back to Crackberry-land. This is one thing I missed while in Android world, these forums.

Should be a few days and it will be here. I am so excited!

Welcome back mate! Don't forget to sideload Snap and install the many Android apps if you'll be missing some of the ones that are not in BlackBerry World yet

I love these forums! Spent a lot of time here with the 8330,9300 and Playbook.

Sideloading won't have to be done once 10.3 comes?

You don't need to side load as long as you're on 10.2.1. But since you'll be setting your Z30 from scratch you should definitely load up one of the 10.3 or 10.3.1 leaks.

The only thing that you need to side load is Snap (Google play client that let you download directly from Google play, even the apps that you previously purchased) or you could use the amazon app store or directly loading any app by doing a search on Google.

There's also a couple of ways to load Snap without a computer (sideload.it being one way - search the forum to find how)

One other thing, you'll probably face some problems with Google play settings, so search the forum for lucky patcher that way you can patch some of those apps. And if you ever run into problems by loading an app from Snap, you should look if the same app is available from the amazon app store because those one usually work.

    Have fun with you Z30!

You can use the Browser and install 1 Mobile directly from the phone; or use the Amazon Appstore that comes preloaded in 10.3

But I still prefer to sideload Snap because it allows you to go into Google Play.

I have 10.3.1.632 installed on my z30 and it feels like a new device, custom LED colors, smooth and fluid on the z30, I an liking it. I also have the Amazon app store and I side loaded Snap to get the rest of the apps I needed.

This, and also because we can update the apps within snap and also because I know apps are directly from Google play and not some modified apk's

Snap allows direct access to Google play, so no sketchy websites involved. Also it can check for updates for all your apps and it's a very simple process. much easier than browsing the web

Is it necessary to have 10.3 to get snap? Or will it work on 10.2?

I have checked out how to sideload it and it. Looks relatively simple.

Welcome back. You'll enjoy BlackBerry 10 and the features of the Z30. I have owned every BB10 device outside of the Passport and I can say that the Z30 is the best experience you'll have. Great battery life, speakers and screen and a very fluid OS will make you love your BlackBerry. I came back from Apple and I will never leave again.

Be thankful it's not vzw in the states. I'm having to play the run round game to find a replacement z30 as well as stock up an extra one or two. Vzw has really pushed my buttons these last 2 weeks......

Oh. And you will love the z30. I've used iPhone 4 and 5, S4 and HTC one - - nothing compares. The hub alone is worth the switch. I couldn't be without it.

Let us know once have it and your first impressions. I'm looking to make the plunge myself and I'm on Bell Mobility too. I'm like 95% there but I really love my Z10 form factor.

Been playing with the z30 for the past few hours. It really is an awesome phone! I love the keyboard. For the past few years I have been using Swiftkey on Android. The keyboard on the Z30 puts it to shame in my opinion.

Only had one small hiccup setting up the APN for Bell mobility. A quick Google search gave me the answer I needed.

    So far I am happy.

    Now time for case shopping.
