I'd be careful. I've read stories where some Samsung Androids actually had burn-in.

No... OLED burn-in is an actual thing.

To do it you have to have maximum brightness, and the same image on the screen for hours and hours.

That way you could see burn-in in a few months.

Under normal usage, you won't see burn-in before about 5 years.

Keep in mind that it would still have to be mostly the same static image.

So if you change wallpapers, use your phone and turn it off sometimes, it's unlikely to ever affect you.

However it is still a real thing to watch Out for. Most users will never see it, but some unlucky people may get bad displays that will show burn-in sooner, but won't be able to replace under warranty because it should still take over a year.

To be honest, I don't see a lot of difference in the screen brightness between about 60% and 100%.

I never said it wasn't possible, just saying it's sounds like a way to talk smack about a good thing, and the post above is exactly the reason why. Unless you have your screen time out set to max, you probably will not have an issue.

I keep my screen at 100%, use it heavily and after 16 hours off charge, I still have 25%. Battery is killer on the Z30! I use to keep my display at about 60% for my Z10 to try and conserve battery. No need for that anymore!

I keep mine at zero while inside and 100 outside if it's a bright and sunny day.

If the battery is as good as people say, then why not use the Z30 at 100% brightness if that makes the viewing experience better for the owner. IMO part of what makes one smartphone more enjoyable to use than another phone is the quality of the screen.

We have to look at the screen most of the time when using our phones, so a bright and sharp screen are two of the things I look for in a good smartphone. Everyone has their own preference as to how bright is good enough, but if the battery last a long time then it does allow people to use it at 100% if that's what they want.

I prefer that option more than having to turn down the screen to save battery life.

I've got my brightness down near 0% and I'm still not getting great battery life out of my Z30.. I listen to music/podcasts during the day and play the odd game here or there and I find myself plugging it in for a top up part way through the day.. Does it reindex every time you install a new app? If so, then the 25 day giveaway promotion doesn't bode well for my battery life until Christmas anyway..
